I’m so let down by Anthony Evans, he’s garbage atm wiles isn’t much better either. Saw Evans play at Harrogate Town pre-season and thought we have a real player here but Peterborough away aside, he’s been poor and needs to greatly improve.

Where was Miller? Down to ten men surely Hogg stays central & the two wing backs drop off........One argument would be why isn't one of the CB's coming across to help out, by-line or cutting inside? Agreed Hoggs attempt was terrible but it's Millers man and his attempt to cover was none existent. Nicholls has got to save that though, that's his near post, should not be getting beaten there.

He'll have been gutted about that, keepers always are mad with themselves after being beaten at the near post, especially good ones!

Very Very disappointing to lose in the manner that HTAFC did yesterday and also on Tuesday as well... 🤮
Tossed it away twice in a week from a winning position - It’s a long standing psychological and psychiatric issue for sure ! ☹️ ☹️

Ive only seen the Stevenage game and that debacle yesterday.
The difference between the two is clearly is of mentality
For me the problem yesterday was summed up by the coaching staff, kicking the ball away at 1-1 to waste time.
I know we were down to 10 men, but any team or individuals with a winning mentality, I mean, a true 'win at all cost' mentality, would not be playing for a draw regardless of that situation.
The psychology of the whole game yesterday as I saw it, was the same as the last three seasons. Don't lose, worry, were not good enough ect ect
We need winners with a winner mentality with an aggressive confident approach. We don't have it.
We haven't had it since half way through the first prem season

Nichols beaten at near post again. Just watched extended highlights. Def pen though many of a similar nature not given. Ward - total stupidity. I still think we have a good manager who will get us up. It's all about opinions and I respect yours but if that's a penalty then I'm done with football. It's a foul on Sorenson if anything. He pulled his shorts/ shirt I’m sure but if wrong fair enough

Still stand by my original quote: Don’t play Hogg. Don’t play Ward. Don’t play 3 at the back. I’m prepared to be proved wrong about the last one but I’m not convinced the system suits the players we have. I’m not prepared to debate the first two!

Iv taken some time to think about the game Saturday. I think largely we were bullied. They stopped our outlets, forced them back and then made the rest direct and physical. We didn’t stand up to the latter. Since game 1/2 we’ve been worked out slightly. With Hogg in the team teams know that it’s on the centre halves to distribute to either wiles or evans or the wing backs, they are cutting off “passing lanes”(I don’t really like that term) from centre half to more advanced midfielders or strikers along the deck. They will let us play wide to wing backs but only in certain areas,ie the wing backs have to drop deep to get the ball and are then less effective. There isn’t really an outlet to miss out the midfield as we don’t really have that type of forward. So right now it’s very restricted. Personally if hodge can be the player I hope he is he could change the dynamic,if he’s willing to take the ball in tight spaces and then he can beat a man and distribute or work the ball to distribute without losing it regularly it could change our game, teams can no longer let us have it knowing that if they cut those areas mentioned off we’re limited.I believe he will gradually force hoggy to the bench and make the difference required. Herbie Kanes return could also be a big help to swap in and out for either wiles or evans. Just the way I see it but for me with Hogg in the team we are too predictable essentially.

We lost, its not the end of the world as long as the manager and team learn from it. We go again against Doncaster; I hope we see a big improvement

I’ve been to most stadiums in England and I really can’t think of many that are in nice areas. Chelsea, definitely. Cheltenham, perhaps. Cheltenham's ground is on the edge of a proper rough council estate. Just about the least salubrious place in the whole of Gloucestershire. Saw a few characters that looked like their family tree was a monkey-puzzle I just remember walking out of the away end through people playing a game of bowls and thinking I’d not seen that before. I accept it’s probably not a great area though.

Had time to mull over Saturdays performance, heads up we go again , we weren’t the best but could and probably should have still taken points bar the referee losing his head . Keep going boys these days will happen in this division it’s not as easy as many think .

The refs the wrong side to even see it aswell, I don't believe the linesman flagged, so he's given it based on the rotherham players reaction. If my memory serves me correctly, in the highlights you can see the linesman flagging the foul.

The thing I remember about Cheltenham - was I’ve never in my life seen so many suits at a football match… the atmosphere was one of the most soulless I’ve ever been to.

I couldn't remember from the game itself, I'd literally just turned round in disgust from his previous jump to win a header 😅 All I saw was the ref running over desperately trying to get his red out. He was so excited.

He was so excited. I only ever saw it on the highlights, I was working and managed to watch most of the first half through the app but missed the second half. When I saw the score I just watched the highlights knowing the red was coming. As far as the red itself, having read some of the comments on it, I expected it to be far more obvious that it wasn’t a red. Ward had his arm raised and from the angle of the linesman you could tell it looked bad. The linesman signalled straight away it was a foul. With respects to the communication between the two, does anyone know if they are communicating through ear pieces? If they do I suspect that the linesman was a big influence in the decision.

They are in constant audio contact. Ref ,liners and fourth official. The ref would have had the linesman in his ear the moment Ward made the challenge. Ward went across him leading with his arm . Whether he caught him with his arm, or as they said on ref watch yesterday, his head, I don't know. From behind the goal didn't look good challenge.

Is there a link to the ref watch? Be interested to see what they thought.

He got his card out so quickly and half of that time was spent trying to get it out... i don't think any decent conversation took place. It was a reactive decision, not an informed one.
If the boot was on the other foot, I'd not have been thinking it was a red either. Clumsy yes, but nothing more, I doubt he makes contact at all.
Stupid challenge, but I don't think it was with intent, nor was it dangerous.
