When do we get those red cards for us ? When do we get those soft penalties ? It’s all fucking rigged People say it's paranoia but the facts are there It started at Wembley. So many game changing, season defining decisions against and nothing for. Not a chance in hell we'd get a penalty like that at home 3 mins after conceding. You can just see the incompetent prick, the attention seeking buffoon, waving away the appeals and giving the opposition a free kick. They say these things even themselves out.... I have no doubt we will be given a penalty when its totally irrelevant.

Bang on. He barely touched him, in fact I’m not sure he even did, no leading elbow or intent, just misjudged where the ball was. Their players pathetic reaction got him sent off & big surprise he was absolutely fine straight after. The more I watch that red card and pen the more wound up I get. Two absolutely terrible decisions, and the cretin couldn’t wait to give both against us. Hopefully the week off will do us good & get a few back from injuries Looked nothing to me. He longed his head towards him which is not illegal. Ref seemed immediately influenced by the players &crowd.. the penalty I agree with you too. It’s a bit of a premier league one if anything - barley any contact- in hosting for position id say rather than a big pull back.. but I’d need to see it again to be sure. Thats how I saw it at the time. It’s easy to be all doom and gloom but it’s a point dropped that’s all. On another day we take a battling point but it wasn’t to be. Another Game in a few days and 3 points on offer. That’s the beauty of this league. Fixtures just keep on coming thick and fast. No time to dwell on todays game. With several injuries the squad is creaking but it means opportunities for players to stand up and grasp them and nail down a regular starting spot. It can also breed continuity on the pitch and a togetherness. Like when has that ever happened. Already, after a brief ray of sunshine from the Duff appointment, we're back in the slough of despond that's enveloped the club since Wagner decided we were out of our depth.

Isn’t the loan window and free transfer window open a bit longer than transfer window?
Still waiting for these 2 strikers we are in the market for..

So we are now down to just two available options. Koroma and Marshall. The rest... Ward - Banned for three games. Healey - Injured (No idea when he will be fit) Radulovic - Injured (Apparently back in two weeks or so) With Harratt gone, we also now have no youth players we can throw in, even if they aren't the best. Also Marshall won't be available while he is away playing for his country. Quite concerning that we are only four games in and down to bare bones. Yes I know but who could have predicted this crazy series of events which have lead to us being woefully short up front and therefore having zero chances of promotion?? That's right, every fucking one with half an ounce of common sense. I don't give a fk what happened with May or Taylor, it's just another monumental fk up by whoever is in charge of building the squad. I mean it's surprising we've got 3 games out of Danny Ward and that's before we analyse his performances where he's contributed the square root of fk all as we knew he probably would. Healey? Groin injury? Well knock me down with a feather. We don't even have Harrat now to come on and run around for ten mins at the end of a game. Bit like last season really when we let Rhodes go. Net spend of plus £4M and we don't have a striker, well done team, great work! Excellent post Royrace. What I don't understand is why Kevin Nagle has "allowed" this to happen. Everything he says suggests that he is desperate for promotion THIS season. And yet And yet ...everybody and his dog knew we were desperately needing a decent striker - not a vastly expensive superstar - but somebody who is better, and more reliable, than the players that have proven not to be up to the job already here at Town (look at their statistics, watch them play). We don't bring anybody in and Mr Nagle explains that there was the May fiasco and then he was advised that THERE WAS ONLY ONE OTHER TARGET THAT WAS UP TO THE STANDARD WE NEEDED. Who the hell advises the poor (sic) man about these things ? The same person who has failed in over two whole windows to solve the problem ? Mr Nagle points out that these strikers "don't grow on trees" - "Well knock me down with a feather". As a Town supporter of many decades I don't need telling this but I do know that we are paying Mr Cartwright to do a job - get us a reliable striker. He obviously cannot do this - he should go. Surely Kevin is questioning what is happening. When is he going to stop swapping insults on social media and act ?

We ended the first game after the transfer window with Ben Wiles upfront.
If we don't sign a free agent, it's going to be a long few months until January.

The worrying aspect is that our only likely 2 available striking options are playing in up to 2 games before our next league game.

The fact that Nagle is confident enough in our squad that he's prepared to argue with our fans on Twitter shows how much of a hold Cartwright has over him. Nagle clearly knows very little about football so it'll be very easy to spin a story that everyone is doing a good job.

As a businessman Nagle should be astute, so how long will he keep taking what Cartwright must be spinning him before he decides to check what is happening via alternative sources? We started off in the Championship and now KN seems to think we have enough up front with the current players and is expecting us to bounce back this year. It seems to me that unless something changes quickly Cartwrights time will be up this season.

You can still sign free agents but that's it now until the window opens again in January. Incidentally, I'd be making enquiries about Ladapo who has just left Ipswich.

Free agents are free agents for reason, no bugger wants them so to pin our hopes on someone no bugger else wants to score goals to fire us to automatic promotion, is, at best, a fanciful notion.

Ending the game with a free agent striker, rather than ending the game with Ben Wiles upfront would surely be a better option though? There's a couple of names on that free agent list who would possibly do a job.

Can't work out what's happening with Radulovic. Was left out of the Austria tour without anyone saying he was injured. Then ages afterwards they belatedly came out and said he had a bit of an injury. Just seemed very odd.

Scrawled the free transfers and I've found our man.
Tall, experienced, has bags of personality, scores sensational goals, over 200 career goals, lived in the north of England a couple of times before, assisted the most famous goal in Premier League history, has previously scored against Birmingham, Bolton and Wigan.
Do the right thing Kev and Cartwright.

The chairman needs to rein it in on social media as does his mate. Football matters, transfer windows, recruitment etc just shouldn’t be discussed openly on social media, especially during. The Joe Taylor saga was no secret but why on earth is the chairman and his mate embroiling themselves in arguments on Twitter with fans? That 📝 emoji from Dave, totally unnecessary. It could well be misinterpreted by fans who saw it but why even go there? If I was Michael Duff I’d be livid, I also imagine that head of communications isn’t happy (albeit what can he do?) either. It’s terrible PR, it’s unprofessional and it looks tinpot, I imagine that’s how other clubs we do business with look at it too. If Kevin Nagle was Italian he’d be considered a lunatic, just like that idiot at Leeds United a few years ago who spoke publicly far too often on subjects he knew nothing about. I’m frustrated we didn’t land Taylor but shit happens. I’m far more bothered about the way my football club and those connected with it operate and right now it’s very unimpressive. You have a communications team, use them.

You have a communications team, use them. I like the Chairman’s Diary stuff that they do, but think they should talk less about the first team squad & transfers and more about other stuff, such as exactly how the club is developing commercially and what the plans are going forward. More about the Academy and what the plans are there, such as are we looking for further academy facilities so that we can run Development Centres, Emerging Talent squads etc. I’m not saying don’t talk about the first team squad and transfers at all. Naturally you’ve got to touch on those, but talk more in-depth on other stuff. His twitter posts the other day were poorly judged in my view. What i think would be really good content would be an a series of individual in-depth interviews, maybe 1 a week, with Mark Cartwright, Lee Maybury, Adam Mahoney Tom Sutton and James Beck as these are the 5 people that essentially head up and lead First Team Recruitment, Scouting and Analysis. That would/could/should give fans a real insight into exactly how player recruitment and transfers work

A business should not be putting all their eggs in one basket. The club had plenty of time to come up with 3 or 4 striking options. There must be players outside of England that would have fitted the bill. Plans C and D should have been called into action.
Poor by Town to be left in this position again.
