I know maths isn't my strong point, but if our average is 2,442, and a team take less than that to a game - 2,200, how can it overtake our average? Wrexham have only played 2 away games until tonight , so for a fair average including tonight’s fixture ( I think they have sold 2200 or 2100 tickets ) Wrexham took 2227 for those that are interested .

Given our worsening form and the fact we seem to be a charity team when others are in a slmup, I was positively surprised to see how well we'll played.
Here's hoping we can kick on and maintain that level of performance for the rest of the season.
Our away form could be key this season as I feel trams visiting us will set up to frustrate or park the bus.

Delighted to get such a convincing away win at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday... Got the first goal at the perfect time... 🥃 🥃 The second a penalty that we actually got and actually scored... 🥃 🥃 The third goal and we were home n’ hosed... 🥃 🥃 The fourth one an early Christmas gift that was greatfully accepted... 🥃 🥃 I had a double whisky after each goal of course ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ I half knew this League One malarkey might be expensive for me but please keep it going HTAFC ! 😊 Nice one Westi, let's hope you'll be downing plenty more whisky, after Town wins, this season, rather than in previous seasons, drowning your sorrows! - UTT.

Side on the up, visiting places in a higher division for the first time in more than a decade. Even allowing for distances, it isn’t a surprise. Like any fan base, they have peaks and troughs. A couple of years like last season and numbers will drop off. A season challenging at the top will see numbers swell. The fact is that it’s been hard work following Town for the last few years, even before you then take into account the relative low pay of people resident in the Huddersfield area against the national average, the rising cost of tickets, and the cost of travel. It isn’t a surprise we’ve had numbers drop off. A good season this season will see numbers rise again. New grounds, slightly cheaper tickets, more chance of seeing a win. 3 wins all last season on the road - already 2 this with 20 to go. Totally correct about Plymouth. Biggish city with little competition for support, years in the bottom two divisions then a bit of success and they're alway going to get decent followings. A few years in the same division, hovering above the relegation spots, playing and losing to the same will put a dent in the away numbers. Sister lives in Plymouth, their kids both kind of support them know as they’ve had free tickets at school. My nephew has a mate or two with season tickets. Get the impression the whole city was buzzing with the promotion and there’s a real positivity about the team. Bit like when we got to the prem although obviously on a smaller scale - no wonder their numbers were decent last year.

With a population of over 250000 and only Exeter as competition for miles they have more potential to grow than Town do. I'll get skagged off again for sure, but I always think Town have a finite number of fans that they will never really surpass on a regular basis. This is due, not only to the size of the place (100k less than Plymouth for eg) but the proximity of other clubs. You can't go more than 5 miles in any direction without straying into some other clubs catchment area.

Spencer won't be getting his place back. Quality loan signing. He will, at right centre half in place of Lees. He isn't getting his place back on the right of the 3...
