tough away game next. but after the game on tuesday we have just under 2 weeks to prepare for it. hopefully we can get back to winning ways against a struggling bolton side. however rotherham were a struggling side and they bullied us yesterday

There is actually another game before this one, granted a low key affair but still another first team fixture, maybe you could start a thread on that given the Bolton game is 2 weeks away. First things first.

Josh Koroma playing in Zambia on Tuesday night before game is certainly not ideal with the current situation of injuries & suspensions......Hopefully he will be available to start after a long journey back, providing he doesn't get injured.

2 teams topped to be promotion teams, so got a draw written all over, 0 - 0 because we have not got a striker.

Bolton are having a poor start, so it's a good time to play them.
Unfortunately, it's also a good time to play against us.
3-0 Bolton as they find their feet.

Hopefully their players will have one eye on their trip to the Emirates 3 days later.

Really, really disappointed now after the double whammy of not getting a striker and losing on Saturday. I cannot see where the goals are going to come from at Bolton or any game until we get some kind of strike force fit for games. Josh Koroma away on international duty as is Callum Marshall is always a worry because you just don't know what they are going to be like when they return. Ward out for three league games is a blow and of course Healey and Radoluvik are always injured. It looks like League One might not be a one season fling.

All the EFL cup ties apart from those teams involved in the Champions league are on 17th/18th Sept.........Arsenal are in the Champions league again this season.

They all do as none of the dates are confirmed yet. City struggling to find a date to play Watford thanks to UEFA moving Man Utd v FC Twente to Wednesday now.......Like I said earlier Arsenal play Spurs, Atalanta & City all away prior to hosting Bolton, it can only help the trotters.

Tickets selling well . First day for season ticket holders to purchase and they are flying out the door. Another full house away from home .

Was hoping they'd give us the same allocation as wrexham but looks like we have 1000 less. Few of us had it planned as an away day but looks like we won't get tickets as we arnt season ticket holders.

Forgot these were on sale today, just managed to grab a couple. Only a few hundred left by looks of it. Not sure if we'll be given any of the lower tier once the upper tier has sold out...

I was there too, think it was Jackson's first spell in charge. Edit: In fact longer, 26 years this month, 26th September 1998.

Did they have a Danish/Dutch lad in midfield who scored a belting freekick, seem to have that memory for some reason!

Quite a few fights outside the ground in the car park. Also fairly standard for back then!

Just 3 players missing (on international duty) from the Bolton team that lost 2-0 to Exeter last Saturday at Barrow last night, the strong team fielded may have got the win but it was far from convincing until midway through the 2nd half with 3 goals in ten minutes enough to take the points, manager Evatt also played the eight '1st teamers' for the duration of the game......When you see the strong Brum line up last night then maybe our 'title' rivals feel they're not playing with the fluency required just yet?
