Tickets out today for this. Noticed they have much cheaper pricing for STH Family stand , does anyone know if these seats are close to rest of away fans ?

Yes. The clue is likely in the stand's name I'd have thought
LOL

Thought they could split the fans have a normal away end behind goal and a section maybe on side for family stand. Not been before and not sure if worth getting cheaper seats if sat away from main section of away fans.

Unless it's to tick a stadium off your list, I would say Reading away is the dullest place you could go for location and atmosphere.
Luckily I went in the 4-3 win. That was the only good thing about Reading.

Went on Reading site as I was also looking at the price variation for the 3 different sections and it’s not very clear if it’s 3 different sections or all in same section , not bought the tickets yet but will be asking the ticket office when I do.

Sounds as though it's a designated Family Area within the away end (as distinct from the main Family Area which is at the opposite end of the stadium). www.dcfc.co.uk/media/get/RFC%20Visiting%20Supporters%20Guide%20St5.pdf

Makes me feel great when folk are so helpful and go out of their way to pass on info like this. Nice to see and what forums like this should be like.

If we have 5 shots on target we'll score 6. Worst goalkeeper I've ever seen. And I've seen Tim Clarke, Ryan Schofield & Scott Bevan.

That was the only good thing about Reading. Went with the BOD squad a couple of years ago. Stopped well north of reading for a load. Of beer. Had a great day. The 90 mins is normally the part that spoils the day and yet again that day was the same

It was the first time that I saw Town beat Reading. If I remember correctly we played Reading in Buxton's first match as the gaffer, we gave them a good battering but ended up 1-1 when Reading scored a very late equaliser from a a free kick pumped into the box

We lost 3-2 but a potential equaliser when the ball crossed the line in a goal mouth scramble wasn't given. A sliding doors moment? Probably not as we ended up so far adrift ala PL season 2.

Awful ground and awful place, although it’s nowhere near actual Reading.

Went in 1977 when we lost 1.0, remember drinking Watneys beer in a pub not very far from Elm Park, if I remember right we entered the ground by turnstiles right next to the home supporters and entered into the covered side terrace .
Or at least I did!!! I traveled up from Salisbury on train.
