For some fun, and another poll......
Just going off last 10 years (as a round number....) from my data looks like previous seasons were :
23/24 - 4 (Sheff Weds) 22/23 - 4 (Boro) 21/22 - 4 (Reading) 20/21 - 4 (Swansea) 19/20 - 4 (Charlton) 18/19 - 3 (West Ham - LOST 4-3) 17/18 - 4 (Watford, Bournemouth) 16/17 - 3 (Rotherham, Norwich, Brighton) 15/16 - 5 (Charlton) 14/15 - 4 (Blackpool)
So, 4 seems the most common, meaning we have not properly smashed anyone since Charlton!
I reckon we have a 5 in us this season, call me crazy.......

2018/19 didn't we get 3 at West Ham? Lost anyway but I think it was 4-3.

The most I’ve had from Town was in ma second game which was four in a 4-1 win v MK Dons in November 2010 in League One...
I’m - all being well - planning Huddersfield Town v Wigan Athletic on Tuesday 3rd December...
Hopefully HTAFC can surpass ma record of four by banging in FIVE v Wigan... 😊
Perhaps they could practice with a kind home draw v say the likes of Haven’t & Waterlooville type team the previous Saturday in the second round proper of The FA cup...
That is if we don’t get dumped out in the first round proper - It would just be so, so, Huddy Town in the cup would it not ! 😬

I've changed my mind from 7. I think we'll score 11+ against Northampton.

I think this would be more telling as we dont score that many over a season.

Erm... Prehaps in a Huddersfield v Northampton schools exam contest Kenny ! 😉 I'm telling' you... get down to the bookies. We don’t even have one on The Whisky Isle which is a bloody disgrace !!! 😬 😢 But I arrive in Connel at 00.30am on Saturday 21st September the day of The Terriers v The Cobblers and there’s TWO Ladbrookes’s across from each other on the small side road called Stevenson Street in Oban - yet we canny even get bloody even one here... Aaah - The joys of living on an island eh - As beautiful as it very much is it would be Paradise with a bookies ! 😊

The little wizard, Leon Knight what ever happened to that lad, i remember him terrorising Northamptons defence one game but i can't remember the season it was around 2,000/2001 i think.

We've never beaten Exeter 5-1 home or away, closest was 4-1 at St James Park but Rhodes didn't score in that.
But he did score a hat trick in a 4 nil win there.

Gone are the days when you actually forget which game a certain hat trick was scored in a season or 2. It's rare we even get anyone getting a brace.

And of course Jordan had 6 shots at Wycombe in that 6-0 win and scored 5. The shot that was saved rebounded to him and he buried it.
Hat-tricks are rare for us nowadays and yet we used to have 4s (Lillis, Stanton, Shearer, Maskell, Rhodes, might easily have missed some) and that 5. Might Lillis's 4 against Cardiff in 1982-83 have been the first 4 since Glazzard (all headers?) in the 8-2 v Everton?
And we all know which player scored our last two hat-tricks.

The first in a run of home games where we went goal-mad. 20 goals for in just 4 games. 4-0 v Exeter, 4-0 v Orient, 6-1 v Dagenham and 6-0 (when it could and should have been well into double figures) v Wycombe. We’d also just been on a 5-match winless run and away from home couldn’t buy a win. It still ended up as an 80-point season.
