Was talking about Ceefax with someone yesterday and did a random image search on Google and it came up with this FFS!

Unused sub Shane Killock. Don't remember him at all. There was a reason he was unused.

My memories of this game were that it was live on sky tv and a Sunday afternoon kick off.
We were crap and soundly beaten.
I can't remember if there were calls for a boycott but not many people bothered to turn up (I didn't bother going). It was that really dull period just before Dean Hoyle came in and rejuvenated everyone.
People came on here after the game and were complaining that 'DAVY OUT' banners were removed by the stewards.
A game and season to forget for Town fans!
Think we also featured on TV that season away at Yeovil with an even more abject performance, were we 3-0 down in the first half?

You’re right about Doncaster, which was under Andy Ritchie, but Yeovil was Jacko’s debacle the season before. Wardy’s goal at Doncaster was our first at the Keepmoat in our 4th visit. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/6213885.stm

I remember watching the Yeovil game on TV somewhere, we couldn't handle Leon Best at all.

I remember following the Man City 1987 game on Ceefax. They kept moving goals back timewise. What they had thought was City's last goal was registered as being in the 90th minute, but as we scored and they got another they kept edging the goal times forward!I Nightmare afternoon that I'll never, ever forget.

Obviously my nerdy genes kicking in, but interesting to see how they put the scores in as FT, and then repeated them as a result once it had presumably gone through some sort of validation and confirmation?
Just imagine, someone had to fact check it… 😉

Brings back fond fond memories for sure 😊 (although not that score all the same) ☹️ I’ve still got an old ‘big stickey out the back’ type TV that gets teletext but not ceefax or oracle no more but my newer one in the bedroom doesn’t get anything like that ! The ‘oldie’ down the stairs is handy for looking at the local area news section and the four daily headlines for the ‘West Yorkshire’ area and also handy for the Huddersfield Giants scores, fixtures and league table standings where it’s been another season without a trophy for them sadly !

Remember sitting in the Rose and Crown at Golcar after having played in a District League game and a score came up of something like Ranfers 1v0 St Mirren.
One of the lads turned round to everyone else and said 'I think it means Rangers'
He didn't half get the piss ripped out of him for that

Unused sub Shane Killock. Don't remember him at all. Got MOM in his only league appearance at Crewe in a 3-0 defeat. If I remember correctly.

17 years later and we’re still conceding two and losing away to them!

Teacher to wee Johnny (The brightest guy in The English Class) and a Celtic supporter... Right Johnny - “The word you’ve to spell today is Rangers” Wee Johnny - Ok Miss.. R-A-N-F-G-E-R-S... Teacher - “No Johnny - You’re better than that.. Now spell Rangers for me” Wee Johnny - Ok Miss - R-A-N-F-G... Teacher - “Stop Johnny.. That’s very poor - Now you should know that’s there’s no ‘F’ in Rangers” Wee Johnny - Oh I know Miss, Mummy and Daddy have been saying that every night since they went bust ! 😊

A mate of mine was in town, on his way home from a district league game, when he saw in a telly shop window, Stewart, White and Alcock (?) with their arms round each other. He thought 'well they've scored three at least'.

Man City game was my graduation ceremony day so was at that with parents visiting. We got in the car and switched radio on just as the final scores were being read, having had no inkling of what had gone on. Dad couldn't believe the result.

The better side for the first 10 minutes and if one of chances had gone in, it might have been different. Probably 10:2.

My uncle told me that, said we should have had three in first ten minutes, four of their goals were offside n three were scored on the counter I thought he was just making excuses 😂
