Didn't your planning an away day consist of getting drunk before breakfast and not even remembering we'd been to the game? 🤣😉

Drinking concoctions, sharing shortbread, and singing the Yellow Bird These would be be great when travelling down from 🏴 Bonnie Scotland 🏴 for sure... And while I’ve absolutely tried the first one well nigh on around thirty times now I’ve never tried the second suggestion in bold... Anyway - Something to look forward to and Russell up for ma next (all being well) planned trip in November or December ! 🥃 🍱

This is a pure fab site ShortbreadPete and thank you for posting it up... Having obviously looked at The Huddersfield Town and John Smith’s Stadium one and filtered through every comment from ever visiting fan, these comments fill me with an immense sense of pride and gratitude about the hometown of a football team I picked to be my favourite one 44 years ago and just because I liked its name best from the 92 teams available to pick from in 1980 ! All visiting fans fans really liked the town, the buildings and the pubs... All visiting fans liked the design and walk up scenery towards the stadium... And most importantly of all... All visiting fans said The HTAFC supporters were a very helpful bunch and most friendly and very passionate about Huddy Town even in defeat as well as win, lose or draw... Now it’s all very well me (Westie) talking up the town etc as I’m a regular visitor and I’m always on a high whilst there and it’s like a really good holiday for me for sure - But the really true barometer to judge it is surely from such a broad cross section of visiting supporters as is the case on this excellent site... To hear them all praise things the way they have fills me with the most immense pride indeed ! 😊 👍 The only negative it seemed was the queues for the bar, the pies (although the almost giveaway ones for £1 at the end was a good shout) and the piss houses in the away end especially in inclement weather conditions brought (perhaps justifiably) some complaints and possibly it’s something the club could take a wee look at if they are already as seems clear, striving to improve the public realm footprint of the stadium... However one set of away fans queuing for a piss were happy and that was smokers as they could enjoy a puff as it was queuing out in the open ! 🚬

This is a brilliant site. Used it for years for details on parking away pubs.

Think the site information needs updating a bit . 4,000 away fans capacity ? Roast potatoes and beef brisket £3.90 ? Pubs nearby , the Bridge at Longroyd Bridge ?

Yeovil away! If you know you know! My memory could be wrong, but was there an Adam Clayton last minute winner in that game?

I have used this website regularly in the past but I noticed, after football started again after COVID, that it didn't seem to be being updated.

As conman said, The Bridge - decent a pub as it is - isn't exactly an obvious pre-match pub, and there better pubs much closer.
Made me realise, though, that I haven't got a scooby what the away pub(s) is/are these days. Decent bunch in the Sportsman, and I remember Man U fans taking over the old Parish - but if someone stopped me in the street and asked where a group of away fans should go, I'm not sure I'd know where to send them!

The guy (Duncan Adams) who wrote the FGG books started the website a few years back & he would ask for a few quid donation (A couple of pints he would say)......Don't think he's involved anymore but he would reply to any queries or updates, always thought he was a Blades fan turned out he's a bluenose Brummie.
