Just read that Pat Jones has suffered a serious hamstring injury that requires surgery. He will not be available for Exeter until the new year.
It's a real shame for the lad. Hopefully they can fix him long term by operating.

The lad just can’t handle professional football..
It’s physically demanding..
Thousands of lads every year fall by the wayside..
Professional sport is brutal..
A tiny percentage make the grade..

Poor lad, but I was glad we finally got rid. It was obvious he would never make it.

Think talent wise the lad could have gone a long way in the game. When he first broke through that raw ability was there to see, and coming on late in games he would have the , admittedly tiring, full back on toast with his trickery and pace.
But this hamstring problem has really set his career back. He hasnt played enough games, cant get any sort of run going and when he did make an appearance for us towards the end of his time here, he looked a bit of a pale shadow of the lad that first broke through.
Such a shame. I really hope this surgery will finally cure him of the problem and he can steadily build a career in the game for himself. Its not too late yet but it needs to be sorted pretty soon now.

Gutted for him. That goal vs Norwich was an example of what he could potentially do.
