I think press conferences aren’t to be read into really.Unless they’re coming out balls to the wall like andre did they’re largely irrelevant. Duff has been pretty consistent throughout with his.He tries to be as honest as he can,he has a group of egos to manage so won’t be able to say exactly what he thinks all the time. He stays pretty calm and for me has barely changed in any from coming in to now.He uses certain phrases, but they all do,in fact we all do. Also he’s asked certain questions each week and required to answer them and he can’t determine what those questions will be. I generally only watch them to gauge what I think the team might be from injury updates. You can get other little bits from them but reading into every single word that is said for me is pointless. If they were prepared speeches yes but when you’re answering questions live your answers aren’t always going to be perfect and occasionally they will say things that maybe don’t come across well but it’s not 100% what they mean as they’ve just not articulated it well in the moment. The main thing like I say is to take injury news, anything else pinch of salt. Agree with that, although the counter point being Moore and Fotheringham. Their performances in press conferences were indications of a weakness in elements of the communicative part of leadership that must’ve surely had a detrimental impact on the team and our performances. Moore was complete waffle and used the wrong words frequently - Foz was aggressive and egotistical. I think a competent performance like Duff gives us a positive even if we can’t read too much into it. I also reckon the media element is the thing most managers like the least. I think part of why they don’t like it is because they get asked 75% the same questions week in week out 3/4/5 times a week by the time they’ve done club media and radio etc. Some of the questions at press conferences you can visibly see managers not saying what they want to say because you can tell they thinks it’s so stupid!! Also for us as fans due to results over the years we’ve gotten used to seeing generally negative press conferences because we’re losing so it’s naturally going to have a negative slant. So I think we tend to really pick the bones out of anything and everything

They just ask the same repetitive questions. The last few weeks the same journalists have asked about confidence and mentality on repeat, with Duff giving the same answer every press conference.
The only question that was interesting was when Chicken mentioned the balls over the full backs, which put Duff on the defensive.
Why can’t they ask more interesting questions… such as why are the midfield so far apart and is this part of the tactical plan? What are duffs thoughts on Ladapo’s performances? Has the manager considered a change in formation or tactics? What are these issues that he has found recently that he wasnt expecting?
Was also interesting to hear him say that Birmingham recycled the squad and got rid of those that got relegated last season while our current squad only got rid of a couple of main players.
EDIT - obviously word the questions better than I have!

The whole media around football leaves me cold, I try and ignore as much as possible and just watch the match. The reporters that we get asking our managers questions ask some extremely low quality questions that even a child could improve on. I'd hate answering them too.

You have to admire his honesty and he’s not wrong Michael Duff explained it much better than Bojan, new to the UK, wasn't settled, sounds like there was a chance of him being transferred. Fast forward, his last performance v Barnsley was better, coinciding with a move into rented accommodation, plus his girl joining him. Bojan prefers the bright lights of Leeds, rather than Huddersfield, let's hope he starts to score goals, that's what really matters. Most L666ds players live in North Yorkshire, rather than Leeds, what does that prove - UTT.

I saw Bojan and his partner walking through Leeds a few weeks ago, I carefully avoided “bumping in to him” as he’d probably be out for a month or two injured
