I see this name coming up time and time again. Site is here : beswickssports.com/Seems like some, clearly not all, of the Town team and staff are from here, but as a 'consultancy' what more, if anything do they do for Town? Are their loads of others like this and which others do we use? |

It has been reported on here that Beswicks Sports brokered the deal for Nagle to buy the club. Was a clause inserted into the purchasing agreement that they would advise the club for X amount of time after the takeover was ratified by the EFL? Might explain why there are so many people with connections to Beswicks at the club.

I see they have a USA business, which would explain why they are involved - I guess the fella who helped Hoyle sell the club was involved with them or well aware of them for it all to come around |

Just wondered how many other agencies like Beswick we use, as in, are there others who we have multiple players with or are we top heavy on the Beswick side....I don't actually know

They dont like Warnock because he committed the crime of being successful, some on DATM haven't a clue what they're talking about they like strikers who never score and not the least concerned we are dropping down the leagues like a stone. |

If their (Beswick Sports) pool of contracted players are lower league players then that's fine. But, if the club had any genuine ambition, shouldn't we be having better relationships with agencies that either direct us in an advisory role more effectively, and also with better pool of contracted players/coaches etc as a network. I heard it on here before I think about Cartwrights "little black book" maybe it was something he had mentioned in his first interview. But, someone mentioned it's probably outdated and behind the times since his Stoke days. Fuck knows how or what he convinced Nagle with, when apparently KN reinterviewed him, either thats true case or someone (KN) is bullshitting about actually reinterviewing. Maybe those within the club can confirm or deny that. We've recruited some good players. Some I've been happy about. But, as a whole we've recruited players for this level. Whereas Birmingham for example recruited players for league above, you could argue Wrexham have been recruiting players a league above their own level for a few years now. Probably why as of right now theyre running away with it. But, let's not forget Brum replaced almost all their playing squad who were in the habit of losing, and replaced them with 17 or so new players. Yes they invested millions, but it was a reset and a culture reset a) that was required and b) something that we were also pretty much promised. A lot of us bark on about Duffs 352 system, but if I recall I am convinced Cartwright said that was the philosophy he and the club wanted to go with when he initially brought in Moore, and AB before Duff. Im sure someone can dig out those interviews. I've seen us play with 4 at the back, 5 at the back at times this season. I remember when Moore played 5 at the back, just to solidify us and make us harder to break down, because we were shipping goals left right and centre. Thus, making us incredibly defensive, and games being boring 0-0, and/or 1-1. At this rate Duffs going to have to go down the same road. 1 consistent there is, it's almost the same slow defense from DM and ABs time too. (He was a right c u n t but man we miss loanee version of Kongolo dynamism, athleticism and speed at the back these days.) Now, if the clubs philosophy is to identify playing as a 352. It would have been his remit to not only provide the players to fit the system, or have the ability to play it, but probably identify players (which I imagine would be a fairly smallish pool of players) who currently play in an existing 352 system. Injuries haven't helped Duff, but, they didnt help Moore, and/or AB either. (Both are no longer with us, nor their staff), so if Cartwright being the DoF, surely he's also responsible for the whole clubs S&C/Fitness teams, the club philosophy interns of playing culture (as I believe we have the B team/Reserves, and u18s play the same system as us) someone who goes to those games can probably confirm or deny that. Something once again needs a drastic shake up. I just hope it's not another managers head before we decide enough is enough, our system is broken. Fix the root, we can then properly start to build on a solid foundation not a club built on a deck of cards. |
