Very quiet on this thread …… Who plays upfront ? Bojan, Ward ? Sub Ladapo ? Not much to chose from there ….. Midfield ? Kasumu, wiles, Kane would be my pick. Turtle in for Spencer. It’ll be Bojan and Marshall up top barring any late injuries. Midfield I agree on although there is an arguement to play Hogg as they are a quick side on the counter, you would lose ball progression though with Hogg for Kane(or in theory you would) and I’d expect we have most of the ball.I’d go Kane,we should be focussing on what we can do with the ball at home not without.Wiles gets the nod over evans after a decent performance and a goal and duff has said if you play well you keep the shirt. Think the main conundrum is whether to bring lees in and play him centrally and move Pearson right or keep Pearson where he is likely to play when Spencer is back and the make a decision between lees and turton.I think duff will go with lees as he’s played keeping Pearson central but I’d be tempted to bring turton in,he’s slightly quicker, used to having more of the ball as a full back and he’s quicker on the turn. Look to win the game and bring players off rather than the other way around. Turton has barely played this season so I’d put Lees back in. It’s a lot to ask Turton to pick up match sharpness when we have Lees who has played fairly consistently. Once Spencer is back I’d put him straight back in as I like the slower paced cb in the middle with two either side with a bit of pace. Then keep the rest of the lineup the same as the Barnsley league game, with Kane in for hodge.

We need to show what we're about tomorrow a good performance & win then go to Wrexham & turn them over. Followed by another home game next Saturday. Piece of piss! Come on Town!

Have we got some momentum now we've beaten a shit Barnsley team twice? Did have until the rancid, ugly, torturous, torment of a bitch of an international break (probably, but hopefully not) broke it ! 😬 For me it’s a waste of time. I’d scrap it all. Just play the World Cup and Euros- with a play off match to decide qualification. Scrap all friendlies & other games- nations league etc. A waste of time.

Turton for BS is what I would do & leave the other two in position, hopefully providing some competition for his place. Possibly go with Kane tomorrow & maybe bring Hoggy in for the Wrexham game to hold in front of the three. Bojan came across as a bit of a wet flannel in the PC, I would be tempted to start Ward/Ladapo & Callum, stick the lightweights BR & RH on the bench.......Won't be easy against a team who have taken points off Millers away & Cobblers at home, something that Town couldn't manage.

——————-Chapman ———-Pearson Lees Lonwijk Sorensen Kane Kasumu Wiles Miller ————-Radulovic Marshall
Going off how Duff has responded to things in the past, I think this will be his line up. Goalie spot could go either way but I have no doubt that Lees will be back in.
Don’t hate that line up, just a shame we can’t repeat the back three of Spencer Pearson Lonwijk because that worked much better than anything else this year.

Thought I'd ask here as it pertains to our game on Saturday, sort of Is this the first time we have a home game on the same weekend as Leeds (and Bradford)? I know there's has been moved to tomorrow night for Sky but I was always under the impression that when us and Bradford were at home, Leeds were away etc Always

Having watched Auckland FC's inaugural game in the Australian A league this afternoon I'm hoping for a similar result for Town 'tonight'. Auckland fairly easily won 2-0 v Brisbane in front of an enthusiastic 25,000 crowd. They played some excellent, fast, entertaining and skillful soccer. I think they could certainly give many teams in League One a game.
Anyway, enough of that. Ward for me to start (if fit of course).

Hopefully doesn’t play lees at right centre back🫣🫣 If Lees plays, Pearson will be RCB. He played rather well as a marauding central defender against Barnsley in the BSM Trophy - more mobile than Lees, physical presence in support. He also put in some excellent crosses.

What makes you think he will score ? Law of averages ? It certainly isn’t his inspiring press conference.

Healey’s “illness” must be a bad one 😂 Have Bojan and Healey played more than the one game (their first) together?? It’s surely just got to be a selection point as Duff feels it’s unfair to drop Ward or Ladapo from the squad. But I’m clutching at straws.
