Can see them starting strong at home, might have to weather a bit of a storm. We need to keep with it and show them what we’re about, test of character tonight, will be really disappointed if we don’t look up for it. Also importantly if we are on the back foot early doors and do end up conceding it’s massively massively important that they stick to what they’ve been doing last few games and not go into their shell and start kicking the ball away and inviting more pressure. It may not play out that we have to weather an early storm but if we do the above should be something we need to see. The end of the Brum game we had lost all composure, hacking the ball clear and just wanted the game to finish. At only 1 goal down! Hope that the recent few wins has injected more belief and resilience in the squad because that was really dispiriting.

A sign of how far we've sunk really this game tonight. I've really enjoyed their documentary but they seemed a million miles away from our level even just last season. We're now well behind them in the league and probably outsiders with the bookies. They seem to have a lot of the same players they had in the conference. They're doing really well and it's a good story but I'd really like us to beat them tonight, and we should do when you consider recent history and the amount of money Cartwright has burned through. We all know that tends to mean nothing however the players should be going there fully expecting to win and I'm hoping to see a professional performance and three points. Are we well behind them in the league because if we win tonight we'll only be 2 points behind them. 5 points I think, depends on your definition of well I guess! Hopefully 2 by 10pm.

Pleased that Turton keeps his place after his performance on Saturday. Surprised that Spencer doesn't start.

Pleased that Turton keeps his place after his performance on Saturday. Surprised that Spencer doesn't start. I'd have put money on Spencer starting instead of Turton, Lees or Pearson. All 3 were struggling with muscle injuries/tightness from 70 minutes onwards. Hopefully they're all fresh enough 3 days later

Again? When was the last time we had a bang average season? I can't remember; it's been either a relegation battle or a promotion push for the past 10-12 years Longer than that. We had near misses for promotion for a few years before 2012 and been relegated or almost relegated every season since except for 2 where we've reached play off final. It quite bizarre really. Looking back, I think Andy Ritchie was in charge last time we had a season where we weren't in either a promotion or relegation battle. Tom Iorpenda was 2 years old at the time.

Hope that the recent few wins has injected more belief and resilience in the squad because that was really dispiriting. To be honest I think(I reiterate think 😂) the change of midfield setup has instilled some more belief and composure in the players because they feel more comfortable in that setup. There were numerous games before Birmingham where we just hacked the ball away because it wasn’t working and we’d no idea what else to do.Think brum was a bit different we just did it because so aware of their quality and didn’t want to give anything else away. Could do a lot for belief tonight if we win,it’s another win for the players and one that feels more deserved unlike maybe the earlier ones and for the fans a lot seem to have put Wrexham slightly on a pedestal,tonight we may find out if their early form is because they are quality operators even on coming up or if they have simply rode the of a of promotion and confidence so far.

why do i have such a bad feeling about tonight? Just feel we are going to get major dicked. I so hope i am wrong. They are a bunch of average league one players with a bit of confidence. I think we'll have more of the ball and it'll come down to how well we cope with their physicality

My problem with tonight, is town will look at the hype and not there actual players. the amount of times town have lost a game before it even starts is crazy.

Another scenario where money is DESTROYING The Beautiful Game...
I think we could just about sneak a draw tonight and have went for it -
PREDICTION = Wrexham Town 2 v Huddersfield Town 2 !

Would anybody want those days back? Absolutely not Yes it's weird. Seasons of getting beat regularly and tense relegation battles are more entertaining than the mid table apathy the club were steeped in pre Hoyle. Especially if you get the odd freak season in and amongst.
