Although the issue has been mentioned here and there i think we've done really well recently despite our injuries, seems like every week we have another player out, the enforced changes to the line-up in recent weeks haven't put us off our stride, i do think we have a good squad for this division and its proving so.

Bodes well for the future with good players to come back in to the squad.

Nichols Sorenson Balker Helik Hodge Koroma
All 6 would be in a 1st 11. Would Birmingham be as good with 6 1st 11 players out??
Shows we do have the back up now.

Evans was struggling after he came on. Even after the game he was hobbling, so .... 8 weeks?

We’ve got a cracking squad for this level . Part of this was driven by our championship recruitment of l1 players we thought were ready to take the step up (Kasumu , Turton , nicholls , Ruffels etc…) . Some were and some weren’t , however our summer business consolidated that position .
If the best happened and we were promoted , I’m not sure how many of our squad would be suitable for mid table champ, however Nagle alluded to that today too .

I was reassured by his comments re potential championship squad.

Nichols Sorenson Balker Helik Hodge Koroma All 6 would be in a 1st 11. Would Birmingham be as good with 6 1st 11 players out?? Shows we do have the back up now. They may well be what you could call 'first XI players', but with the exceptions of Koroma and Hodge, I wouldn't say they'd necessarily be better than the players currently starting. Balker, it's impossible to comment on, yes we know he can play well, but after such a long layoff there's no way of knowing how he will perform. Helik, based on this seasons performances is well down the pecking order, certainly behind Lees, Pearson and Lonwijk anyway. Nicholls, yes he is better than Chapman, but he hasn't exactly covered himself in glory this season either. Sorenson I like as an attacking player, but he simply isn't a wing back, his defensive work is incredibly poor Hodge we haven't seen much of but so far so good. As things currently stand, Koroma is probably the only one out of that list that would be going straight back into the XI for me.

I’d have Hodge ahead of Kane.

Helik doesn’t come straight back in to the back 3. The current back 3 is more balanced and is producing the results.
Koroma probably comes back in when fit, but bench duties to get him up to fitness.
Sorensen has good competition from Turton, I wouldn’t change anything while we are winning, but Sorensen will still get plenty of minutes.
Nichols can sit a bit.
Balker is no chance this year.
Hodge can be our bench option to inject energy.

For me the only two we are really missing is Koroma and Hodge.
Baulker looks like he could be a rolls Royce but we just have t seen enough of him. He was desperately unlucky.
Helik - not had a great start to the season. This enforced rest might be what he needs to get some fire back in his belly.
Nichols - on form and fired up would get back in. Chapman is making that hard for him though.
Sorensen - started off great, then seemed to lose his away.
We do however, need them all back asap. You never know when the next injury may hit.
Pearson - left out. Silly sending off at Walsall. Has been superb since he got his place back. First name On the team sheet at the moment for me.

I think a midfield with Kasumu and Hodge would be very balanced in terms of energy and ability I did re-read my post and thought I was a bit harsh on Hodge. The only concern I have is that if we make a sub while we are behind we have no energy to come onto the field and be able to change a game.

The squad is coping well, we are vulnerable to injuries to Miller and Kasumu on current form though and Kasumus career suggests he will miss games, would need Hogg to roll back the years.
