The BBC has a good replay of the goal and it looks absolutely horrific. Any professional keeper should keep that out. NO EXCUSES!! Didn’t help when their no.9 aimed a right hook at him. There's no way that goals given in a league match.

Not sad we are out of the cup. This season in this cesspit league is not about having a good time. I’d actually hate for us to get to Wembley in that cup we are still in, hopefully for just a few more days. Win boring league game after game, get promoted and pretend it was all a bad dream. Cup games and HTFC aren’t a combination that ANY year ANY year as been fun. We might as well just remove ourselves from all cup competitions every year before a ball is even kicked. Boring fucking town

Looks as though Duff is as mad as a Waasp! Rightly so. Why doesn't he look at himself for once. Yet more shit tactics, yet another game where he can't change it when it goes against us. He is not a good manager.

Went to watch it with my dad who was admitted to hospital on Monday. Thought it might cheer him up and make him feel better seeing Town put a few goals past a non- league side. Got that wrong. He couldn't believe how bad we are. Are you after some inheritance by any chance?

If I'm going out and getting dressed up, I may put on a jacket, or a waistcoat. If so I'll always wear a small Town pin badge on my lapel... I feel naked without it.
Tomorrow we're going away for a big reunion dinner. Getting the togs ready tonight after the game, I just took the badge off... too embarrassing.

At least now we can concentrate on playing just as poorly in the league. I thought I'd seen us play some shite this season but I'm having a hard time processing just how bad that was, and I only saw the second half, was at a firework display for the first. Don't think I'll see any fireworks on the pitch for a while. UTT

I’m sorry, but we won’t get anywhere with Duff as manager. How can you play 3 centre half’s whilst behind to a non-league side!? Why take Koroma in the squad and not use him in that situation? Because he's had his half dozen good games this season. Hardly up for a fight is he ? Ah, I forgot the likes of Bojan, Ladapo and Ward are….

Still can’t make my mind up on duff. Another one who speaks a good game, but in game there’s some strange decisions. At the start of the season he was obsessed with Hogg and Evans and took too long to change it. This time it’s Bojan and not giving iorpenda enough chance. The whole club needs to learn what we are, work with the fans to learn what it means to us. There’s no connection, no passion, just embarrassing. Worst thing tonight is that it was hardly a surprise. These stupid moments have happened on the regular since the prem days. Us fans deserve better We have an owner that lives in America and a manager that lives in Cheltenham. There is no real connection any more. If it weren't for seeing Boothy doing his bit for the kids on the unrestricted videos I would wonder what connection those in charge at the club have to the town at all. Something is deeply rotten at this club and a lack of paint ain't gonna solve it They just don’t try to associate with us. Remember Mounie and Pritchard in the fire engine, or the Sweden trip. Nowadays we don’t know anything about them, nothing to make us stick up for them. It’s just Cartwright signings who nobody else would take .

I'd like to see it again as it looked like it was over the line before Maxwell even touched it but I'll admit, it's touch and go. It's violent conduct. He swings at Maxwell, and it's absolutely clear on the replay. I'll cut Maxwell a bit of slack. He's been punched in the face while challenging for the ball. He's lost the ball in the air as a result. Bad error, but significant mitigation by being punched in the head.

He reckoned after watching that he might give it another go!

Koroma isn’t an ‘out-and-out’ striker, but has still been better than any of the other so called strikers we have. Bojan looks like he’s won bloody raffle to play!

I watched Kev and Daves diary the other day and if they're reading this I'd love for them to watch themselves back and look at it from the viewpoint of Town fans after tonights performance.
Why do we have so many missing fans? BECAUSE WE'RE F'ING SHITE! Watch the Tamworth match back, that's your answer right there.
Why is the atmosphere so subdued? BECAUSE WE PLAY SHIT FOOTBALL, CREATE NAFF ALL AND SEEMINGLY CAN'T PASS A CHUFFING FOOTBALL. It's dull, and not in the least bit exciting to be sat watching us beat Exeter at home.
Laughing at everyone blaming Mark Cartwright - WELL WHO'S SIGNING THESE HALF ARSED TIN POT SHITE FOOTBALLERS? If it isn't him then find the person who is and f'ck em off - immediately! Lonwijk and Miller aside the rest look pretty piss poor, not exactly a good record.
The only time you had the majority of fans on board was under Warnock, and he even brought some success on the pitch too - AND YOU GOT RID OF HIM!
You both come across as really nice guys, and guys that intend well, but you're having a mare with the footballing side of it all and that is obviously the fundamental thing here. Until you get that right you're onto a loss chaps.

I'm a pretty positive/ glass half merchant but that has to be one of the most hapless, spineless and characterless performances I have seen in 45 years support. It's not losing matches it's how you lose and that was as inept as I can remember. Coming out of the ground I said to some Tamworth fans they deserved it, and they did. We didn't cope with the pitch, which is no excuse, and looked heartless and 2nd rate. You keep hoping that we have turned a corner/stopped the rot and then we get a pitiful effort like this. I don't boo/berate the team, and didn't tonight but I couldn't criticise anyone who did...and there were plenty. Duff looked physically shaken by the response and he and the players deserved to too. I realised a few weeks ago that turning the Town tanker around was likely to take longer than we all hoped. Nights like this show how much there is to do. Mr Nagle and his team need to take notice because although anyone can have a bad night this really shows where the club is and how much more is required. A very bad night. A night when 16/17 seems like a dream that never happened. That performance is no more hapless than about 50 games we’ve seen in the last few season. That’s why I sit here completely numb and unsurprised to it.

Chris Sutton had the measure of our strikers after 20 minutes, absolute set of jokers !!! Anyone still claiming Radulovic will come good out to be sectioned.

I watched the game back after it finished as didn't know the result.
After half time watched it on x30 speed as knew what was coming
Our strikers to a man are absolutely pathetic. Bojan is quite possibly the worst striker I can remember us having. Does nothing, has no pace, no nouse and can't head a ball.
Ward looks past it, ladapo well.

I’ve a lot to do this weekend.
I was hoping that my workload would be made easier knowing that we were safely through to the second round and had avoided another banana skin…
It won’t spoil my weekend, but you know that shit performances like this always sit in the grey matter somewhere, chipping away at any chance of a good mood…
We’re seventh in the league, but if you had watched many of our games this season and hadn’t seen the results, it wouldn’t surprise you if that was seventh from bottom.
We just don’t have any zip about the team…
We pass the ball with wing backs facing back to our goal most of the time. We’re in L1, not defending for 17th place in the PL…
It doesn’t feel great being a Town fan just now, hoping the lethargic feelings will pass soon and we can turn in some decent, invigorating performances. I think they’re long overdue…

Not making excuses and we deserved to lose, but that goal shouldn’t stand. However, what annoys me more is how we just meekly accept it, when it went in I expected the foul to be given, when it wasn’t I expected the ref and linesman to be surrounded….nothing!! Not saying it would change the refs mind but at least look like you give shit and let it spur you on!! Absolutely soft as shit! We must be the easiest team to ref!

I very much doubt that goal would have stood in the Greedy League but we had all of the second half to get a result, so no excuses other than we were dire.

Anyway we were woeful and an utter embarrassment.

Of course we didn't. We don't complain. And it's fucking sickening at this point. That goal should not stand. It's over the line when Maxwell makes contact. It's a dead ball. Throw into the mix a straight red for their striker missed by all and sundry. I said something at the time, but apparently nobody else saw his swipe at Maxwell's face. So that's two grounds for really kicking off. And we just mildly stand by and roll over when we should be kicking off to high heaven. Every other club has someone at the linesman and half a team round the ref. Us? A mild-mannered conversation at half-time then a crap performance. i thought i was seeing things when BBC showed the replays of the goal, NO9 with a swinging right arm straight at Maxwells face, and he falls back into the net, the rest of our game was utter shiiite though, but that goal should have been dis allowed.

This is why I found it so annoying they had the nerve to call out the fans and atmosphere recently, and for us being 'negative'. THIS IS FUCKING WHY!!! We've consistently had this level of shit thrown at us for far, far too long. In fairness this hadn’t happened at the time they called out the negativity. Are you saying town fans were being negative because we knew we were going to lose to Tamworth? No, I think we're being negative because we've had years and years of absolute shit. And a few half decent performances won't suddenly have the entire fan base bouncing off the rafters. Then comes a result like this!!

Truth is we could and should have put pearson up front second half and gone direct, put it in their last third and closed down quickly. They were not physically challenged at the back and they never really had to try and play in their own last third, they could just clear it easily. Find a way to get back into and win the game, its what managers get paid for, alledgedly.. No tempo, no real desire to outwork and outfight, then outplay the opposition.. We looked like we were 17th in the National league hoping to get a point at best away from home.. Our wage bill demands that we are better, if you require plaudits to work hard for good money, you are unlikely to succeed.
