Evans missing with a 'bruised toe'. Can you imagine any of the 79/80 team missing a game with that 'injury' ? Think you are underestimating how much a bruised toe restricts you from walking properly never mind playing football. It's an injury I have had countless times. Would you rather we had a player on the pitch who was injured?

Listening to Wiles does not fill me with confidence, that the strange mentaility that the club has had over the last 18 or so months, has aletered at all. Give it a listen his part in the presser, its very strange hwo he answeres the questions and i am not talking about the amount of times he says "you know". Its just strange how he sees things .

I thought he was quite insightful. He admitted that he is a confidence player and he had struggled last year but he was more upbeat this year and felt supported by Duff and likes that Duff always explains if Wiles isn’t picked or put on the bench. I think we have a group of players (and a few fans 😉) who seem to need a lot of hand holding especially when things go wrong. Duff seems to get that. I still think this season will be a struggle hopefully last week was a blip and we can only get better.

This is why the preformance level and results are so up and down. I think Wiles et all know the problems, but it takes consistent effort to ptu that right, which they do not want to do. As Duff felt the effort was nowhere good enough last friday. You could have said that quite a lot over the last 18 months.

Wanted to take in some grounds like these.

Id be worse than the HTAFC version of David Unsworth with my knees lol Had to be in london tomorrow anyway, so it would be daft not to go and support the boys. If I'm still saying that post final whistle will be another thing lol

For those that are driving to the game. The ground is easy to find, about half a mile down the A23 from the Pease Pottage services roundabout where the M23 becomes the A23. Go down the hill half a mile and at the traffic lights turn left into Broadfield Business Park where there is good free parking. To get to the ground walk past the William Reed offices and go through a wooden gate in a tall edge. A footpath leads past allotments then over a little footbridge to the ground. Parking is no more than 150 yards from the ground. There is a decent sized clubhouse bar called REDZ at the corner of the home end but away fans are allowed in there. There are also usually a few decent eateries near to REDZ with outdoor seating etc. Thank you for this. We stopped off briefly in Nottinghamshire for my mate to do a Park Run on the way, but we’re now headed for your suggested parking spot. Cheers.

A bit spurious, but it must be a long time since we've played teams on consecutive weekends that we haven't played before.

You can bet Crawley fancy this today after watching our 'soft as shite' lot last Friday, we have some big gaps in the fixtures now this month & momentum will be hard to find.....Any sort of win hopefully in this 1st meeting between the clubs, but wouldn't be surprised if we drew or even worse beaten AGAIN.. Nervy 1-0.

They’d probably get sore feet from having to ‘wear in’ a proper pair of leather boots.

I was just getting the phrases on every match thread into one sentence... and yes, it gets it out of the way. Might as well take care of the post-match verdict while we're at it. Depending on the result: Comfortable win: "Boring" Narrow win: "Lucky" Draw: "Shows how far we've fallen" Loss: "Rotten to the core"
