What a pointless poll, I think we all know what most would say!

Why would anyone want him to stay?
It could only be a few of KN's bots that voted to keep him.

Get rid, he didn’t understand that the squad needed leaders and that’s on him. Now we have a bunch of players who are bang average with nobody to lead them.

If he had got alfie may would you still be saying this though? Almost certainly. One player would not have made that much of a difference. Fans aren’t daft, we’ve all known for ages the squad is overall very poor and continues to be. With another transfer window looming and Cartwright at the helm once again, it hardly fills you with confidence we’ll do anything. No doubt the old argument about it being difficult to do business in January will be trotted out though.

Complete lack of identity in our playing style. No leaders, no power and no pace.
Staggering that he’s still here.

If they were going to get rid of him, when would you do it? Do it now and nobody to over see January when would expect a few signings, wait until the summer and then the new appointment wouldn’t have time to oversee the big rebuild we’re going to need

If Kev listens to the fans like he says he does.
MC should be gone this week.
That's the bottom line.
Let Duff identify his own signings for Jan.

Running a football club, at least THIS football club, is not a democracy. Big Kev might listen, but don't think for one minute that any view on here is automatically actioned. Because that would be daft.

You've then got plenty of time to identify your new DoF / Sporting Director ahead of the summer.

92/100 want rid. A small pool but that’s a fairly extreme percentage.
I think everyone can see he will be gone by next season, the pressure will tell eventually. Sooner the better or January will be wasted

A bloke phoned in radio Leeds yesterday. He said he couldn't understand how fans blame Cartwright when its obvious the player just aren't good enough. You couldn't make it up really.

A couple of questions:
1) Who (out of the realistic candidates) do we want to replace him? 2) How do we know who will be good?

A couple of questions: 1) Who (out of the realistic candidates) do we want to replace him? 2) How do we know who will be good? Not sure I wouldn't know where to start. Dean Hoyle got it right with his first 2 efforts, ross wilson and then stuart webber who is available again. If you run the club in this model it is one of the most important appointments, we keep sacking coaches but in reality they are a smaller cog in the machine than the sporting director. It doesn't take a football connoisseur to realise cartwright isn't the right man, they need to get this right and he needs to be a good communicator. Ross wilson and webber would do forums or at least offer output on the club channels

We don,t need a DOF.Duff should be able to identify and sign the players he needs. However, the running of this football club is a farce.Owner 5K+ miles away {attending periodically} and the manager living 200 miles away {part time really}.It all needs re-setting {Including the playing staff}

Devils advocate question: Could we be confident that replacing Cartwright would make a difference? The people, or more accurately Mr Nagle, who selected him would have to find the replacement i.e. how know how they will get it right?
If the line of command in the UK is everyone reports to JE then surely he must be looking at things critically. If we think that progress has be made off the pitch (which I think is true to be fair) you can credit JE with this. Unfortunately it is what happens on the pitch that we primarily care about, and that isn't quite right.
I would hope that this is being reviewed constantly. I am sure that those at the club see things with a different perspective but they can't paper over the frailties we can see week in week out.
If there is a real desire to make the team successful there has to be some honest introspective from those in charge. It currently isn't good enough to be a really credible promotion side. That (promotion) was the stated aim so the outcomes week in week out need to be measured in that context. If the, footballing, buck is at Cartwright's door he cannot have any issue with people questioning the job he has done and demanding change.

I think Wilson suffered from the early days of DoF adoption so it was more a case of 'what are we paying this guy to do?' Fans are more informed now and understand the role better. We can see that recruitment has been garbage and the head of that process cannot hide. I'd take Webber back all day long.

We can see that recruitment has been garbage and the head of that process cannot hide. I'd take Webber back all day long. I think Webber would command a significant salary (although I can't say I think he would return) and here is perhaps one of the biggest conundrums of the Nagle era: There is no doubt money has been spent, probably a very decent amount, but that hasn't prevented us from being relegated and it, currently, doesn't look likely we will be promoted (although there is time to change that). The League One season is skewed to a degree this time with the outlier of Birmingham investing heavily to achieve promotion. They have taken a view (risk?) that the priority is a return to the Championship. We have stated that priority but have we; Invested, at every level across the playing side, to maximise the opportunity to achieve that or Invested poorly Would we have been better placed had we committed a bigger budget? Or is the issue that the budget is adequate but it has not been used well? These are the questions we are pondering and you hope that those in charge are too. Do you give the team who have spent the investment in the past 18 months more money or do you invest in different people to spend it? All in all for a team who's stated aim was promotion it is a muddle at best, and a mess at worst.

He’s not done a great job evidently.
But I disagree that alfie may wouldn’t have made a huge difference.. Call it papering over the cracks but there’s been a lot of close games where a striker who can put a couple away can completely change a game and make us look comfortable. I think we’d be in the top 3 and folk would have a totally different attitude.
It’s the boards fault we didn’t get a decent striker, ultimately. We never spend like a big fish

A couple of questions: 1) Who (out of the realistic candidates) do we want to replace him? 2) How do we know who will be good? I reckon you could appoint someone at random from the Brighton or Brentford recruitment teams and they'd at least know the requirements for a successful setup. Get someone wanting the step-up to being a DoF and give him a decent salary and it should be a decent opportunity - shouldn't be too hard to get promoted and then he's got a promotion on his CV. We don't know they'd be an improvement, but I'd be confident of getting an upgrade because I see no evidence that Cartwright knows what he's meant to be doing. There's no obvious strategy, template for a player we're signing or even really an understanding of what we need in the league we're in. Bojan being a case in point. Bromby would be an improvement. He picked up some good players in his time - Cartwright hasn't bought a single player that we will make decent money on, and he's bought a few we'll lose a significant amount on.

It we don't go up he can go. He's hired 3 managers with only one good one. Herbie Kane is the only player we've signed under him who's been consistently good and that was likely Duff's doing. He's signed way too many players who are either really hot or cold or are injury prone. However I'd wait until at least the summer because too much change in one season can be bad. If we do go up than fair enough, he'll have done his job and I'd be happy to keep him. However if he were to be fired this minute I couldn't be too upset.
