Will this be the first time we have played them since beating them at Cardiff, very lucky that day but you take it.

Remember them beating us at home near end of season 3 v 1 I think , turned up 10 mins before kickoff and the turnstiles were rammed , had payed on the gate that year and genuinely thought fans were going to be left outside that day, I finished up sat behind the goal in north stand . The crowd was only about 19000 I think but the away end was the full stand and they only brought about 2500 . No way that day was there only 19000 ish there . They played us off the park that day, but I thought the final was much closer and good old mr Lawrence put a smile on all town fans faces in the end.

The last few minutes and that disallowed goal for them should have stood but that's football. We played better against them in the final but was that Lawerence who was trying to be clever with his penalty and chipped it on to the bar.

That was a good Mansfield side who should have gone up automatically, they went to pieces after that final and in the non league soon after.

Liam Lawrence Bobby Hassell Alex Baptist Liam Williamson - played for sheff utd against us in the play off final too I think. Kevin Pilkington - very experienced keeper.

Larkin and Christie were good players for the Stags and i think it was 3-3 at Mansfield that season.

Amazing how fortunes change , although back all square now . ( we’ve been to the PL since that day they’ve had a non league visit . ) Bit like forest and us now , let’s hope we can get back on all squares one day with them.

Still remember the relief when that cross late on was adjudged to have gone out of play before swinging back in onto the Mansfield strikers head and in our net ! Thought it was curtains.

You can knock circa 6000 off the current 19000. More on a night match.

It’s old news people complaining about it. Even KN and Dave mentioned it .

Couldn’t give a rats arse if you complain about it on here or to my face as much as you want, it’s same old same old, heard it all before on here by same folk nobody gives a dam but you keep rattling on if and it obviously does make you happy. 👍 but just like you have the power to complain others have the power to complain about you repeating your complaints😂

Are we meant to get notifications for when tickets come on sale? Another one, similar to Wrexham where I never knew they were on sale and was too late.

The information is very scarce and doesn’t give much notice. I will try to pass on info on this site when it gets published but will probably forget, spot on though .

Be great of the club put as much effort into letting people know when tickets are due like they do with 'player at the store' or 'player x presser' which I seem to get all the time!

I've set a twitter account up just for this type of info. It seems pretty much everything gets posted on twitter for Town but then selected bits of info on other social media platforms.

A lot of older fans who go away don’t use twitter the club does need to address this even having a member of staff posting on the datm forum an away ticket thread would help - very simple and hardly time consuming
