Bit late but I couldn't be bothered posting last night and I have been at work all day.
First half we were absolutely terrible. Defenisvely we were a shambles and in the middle of the park we were awful. I don't blame Ritchie for playing one up front to start with but why did he wait until half time to change it around? We had the players on the pitch to play 4-4-2 he should have made the change after 20 minutes.
Second half we actually looked a lot better. I think if Glennon hadn't been sent off we might have snatched (an undeserved point).
Thoughts on the players:
Glennon - He had a really good game. Made some cracking saves. One from Clarke (I think) was absolutely world class. I thought he was possibly at fault for the first, though. Sinclaor - Awful and that was before the ridiculous sending off. Skarz - Slow and out of his depth. However his set pieces were very good. Clarke - Cannot play with Mirfin. Mirfin - Cannot play with Clarke. Kamara - One decent run. Looked threatening but Southend did a good job on him. Really should have scored right before their second. Holdsworth - Terrible in the first half. Slight improvement in the second. Walllwork - Terrible in the first half. Worse in the second. Schofield - Didn't realise he was playing. I think the Southend players thought the same thus they didn't bother marking him for the goal. Cads- First time I have seen him play for us and I was really impressed. He worked hard and always looked a threat. Possibly should have scored in the first half but it was hard to tell. Boothy - Worked hard but didn't get much out of their impressive centre backs. Jevons - Didn't have much time to make an impression but looked okay. Smithies - Awful mistake for their third goal but it's not really fair to judge him on one performance. Collins - Did nothing.
Finally, having not been since Millwall away I'd forgotten how much a certain section of our fans seem to enjoy moaning and slagging the team off. Why on earth do people travel 200+ miles to abuse Nathan Clarke? Right from the first minute they were on his back. Pathetic.

Seems a reasonable appraisal. Especially "Collins - Did nothing.". To me that sums him up. So, now pick a side for Saturday
