Can't get my head round that image of the McAlpine in your signature phil, presumably thats Lockwood Viaduct in the background? but it looks too near? has it be photoshopped?

Wow, that would be some Photoshop job. I'm not that good. I took it with an image stabilized Canon 400mm lens, hand held even (bright day helped). Also, for techies, because it's digital the effective focal length is 1.6X so it's equivalent to over 600mm. I'm stood over on Mirfield Moor, which has to be about 4 miles away, so that's how the viaduct looks from there - no tricks. To be honest, I don't think I even noticed the viaduct when I took the pic. |
