just watched soccer night, clearly their guy slipped, apparently leon clarke has actually written a letter thats going in with the appeal, saying that he slipped n no contact was made-surely with the fact the player himself has said there was no contact n tht he slipped the red card will be rescinded?

Hi Stevvy, We can only hope. The problem is that you appear to be applying common sense and logic to the situation. I'm not sure that the powers that be have the same abilities.. I.

looks like he should get away with it, but will the day come when overturned red cards end up with games replayed, imo whats done is done what goes on on the field stays on the field etc etc

Next time try and spell our surname right first time round Lunny. And you can't say that about our whole family.

apparently leon clarke has actually written a letter thats going in with the appeal, saying that he slipped n no contact was made-surely with the fact the player himself has said there was no contact n tht he slipped the red card will be rescinded? If that doesn't work nothing will. I saw it on Soccer Night as well, even my husband (who has no interest in anything to do with Town) described it as harsh. That is putting it mildly. It has to be rescinded simple as.

You're talking about the FA here.
I mean their top people did a great job on Wembley and the appointment of Steve McClaren!
Still they taught Bury a lesson in the FA Cup last year didn't they!
God knows the kind of numpties that work there. This should be cut and dried but you never know with those clowns!

I wouldn't call them clowns more like selfish, greedy, self serving elitists! It's run like a gentleman's club for the gentleman of the club. They don't give a flying frig about the common fan.

At least mine isn't a supporter of any other team & he does lend a sympathetic ear when we lose (sometimes)
