Who's the most skilful (not necessarily the best) player that you've ever seen in a Town shirt?
I'll pitch in with Dean Gorre, he could do things with a football that most others can't.
Let the debate being!!

Going back a good few years but Terry Curran was 'a bit good'. Lee Makel was very skilful also.

What about Kenny Irons, he had the vision to spot the killer pass and the skill to deliver it.

Frank Worthington would take some beating. Trapping the ball with his arse and stuff, just for a laugh.
I was once watching a game in Canada - he was playing for Philadelphia. He was stood on the half way line on the right wing. The goalie punted it to him. He backheel volleyed it - no bounce, to the bloke on the left wing touchline.

I don't know about the most skilful (probably Dean Gorre) but I know who was the least skilful I ever saw....
Gordon Tucker

No doubt for me it has to be Frank worthington, one of the best left footers i have seen in a town shirt. collin Dobson was a fair player as well.

Blimey!! People on here slate Clarke and Mirfin as a pair but they are John Terry and Rio Ferdinand compared to Gordon Tucker and Andy Duggan! Scary!

Andy Duggan! God, I'd forgotten about him.
Another contender for worst player I've seen would be Kwami Hoduoto, the French fullback that Bruce brought in. I think he got subbed after 20 mins of his debut against Fulham for being complete dogshite.

I always liked watching Crosby and OOO Phil Starbuck before him. I only wish I'd been around to see Worthington play. He sounds absolutely immense as both a player and character. A total one off in the history of British football not just HTFC.

Can of worms time buthows this for a shite 11!!
Tim Clarke
Willie McStay Andy Duggan Gordon Tucker Vince Chapman
Simon Davies John Kelly Nigel Callaghan Mark Barham
Alex Dyer Peter Withe
Been watching Town for 28 years and could probably name a squad of about 50 comfortably!

I'd plump for Scott Bevan above Clarke (who became quite good in the 1991/92 play-off season).
Nat Brown and Dwayne Mattis would also be in the mix, as would Neil McNab.

Chris Marsden was a skilful midfielder for us in the early 90's, but injury prone. There was also an Irish striker Mick Byrne who had a few neat tricks.

When we signed him I thought he would be great.... Brothers of top players often tend to be pretty poor in comaprison (e.g. Paul Terry).

Ben Thornley. However, I think our best wingers at any one time had to be Thorrington and Schofield. With Dean Gorré and Kenny Irons in the middle, that was a midfield that tore other teams to shreds

Schoffer, Gorre, Dalton, Marsden, Roberts (Gary). Not a bad mix there.

Dean Gorre or Big Frank (Dennis played for Town before I lived here but he's got to be among the best in any era)
Got to nod (slightly) towards Leon Knight) potential unfulfilled - probably because of the weight of the chip on his shoulder.....
3 points tomorrow

I honestly didn't think Donis was that bad, but have to agree, it was a hell of a lot of money.
