i agree with you about the majority of what you said, but i can see town going up the town rather than down. it's true that things are no better under ritchie than jacko, but davy needs to back him. and i don't mean in terms of signing players, i mean the coaching staff. there are at least four or five changes behind the scenes and they are as follows.
new assistant manager - we've been poor ever since yorath left. and besides name how many football league clubs don't have an assistant. not many me thinks. new head scout - where are all the talented youngsters?! they are not going to fall out of the sky, we need to search and discover them. i firmly believe that if we can spread our search for young players, we can challenge the big clubs. i mean what are the chances of getting in at man utd or liverpool anyway. NIL! new coaching staff - three words - booty and dungsworth new chairman - obviously! new youth team developer (whatever you call it) - i respect mr murphy, but i think his ideas are in th past. nowadays the big clubs want flair players to which town have none coming through the academy. pace and movement are two important attributes that a few young town players lack.
we got the foundations, we just need to take it to the next level. internal chance is needed.
sorry for rabbling on again! im bored really :-)

you at least see my point of veiw, but we need action not words,if ritchie wont stand his ground and demand that davy back him, he should be man enough to walk and show the board this shambolic state of affairs carnt carry on.

agreed. with managers coming and going like days, it can be understandable as a chairman not to fully back a manager, but remember this is the man that the majority of the fans wanted (open to suggestion - i certainly didn't want Parky - f***ing sh*t at hull). davy must make a decision whether or not to back this ritchie. if not get rid, but in my personal opinion getting rid of someone we wanted would be stupid.

i'm not sure to be honest. it may just be the pre-jacko syndrome we may have. i mean it would be very difficult to follow a man who literally bleeds huddersfield town, even now (comment on soccer night about getting sacked, obviously still hurts him). he does seem like wadsworth at times, but then again is that just him as a manager and person. i don't know really.

I think if Richie had his way, he would have bought his own backroom staff in. looks like he is stuck with Laurel and Hardy.

would be for the better. it's obvious jacko didn't think that much of them as he didn't try to take them to lincoln city with him.

Until AR gets his own men in we are always going to suffer. Dungheap & Booty were pretty darn useless when PJ was manager, why should AR be lumbered with the same dross.

If we had put that sort of performance in when Jacko was manager the Jackos Out threads would have stretched a mile long. I'm not saying Ritchie Out just yet, you can only work with what you have. But we are SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Any chance of new blood (not just Jevons and Wallwork) in January anyone?

There is no way a PJ team would have performed with so little passion and pride. And NO WAY they would have lost four nil. Ritchie completely failed to get them fired up for the game

was on the bench, surely he was fit enough to play 20/30 mins at least he would have got a few tackles in and tried to fire the side up instead of wallwork and a very poor collins

Agreed about Jacko, yes his time had come to go but he usually managed to fire up his team to beat the likes of Sadford ind derby games
