So have Casino Red gone down the plughole? If so does anyone have an idea of who might be shirt sponsors for next season? Card Factory perhaps?

Hope not. Shirts would look crap with their logo on.
Also, forgive my ignorance, would we not be better off getting some external revenue? i don't know how it works.

card factory would be a different business entity so would have to pay for sponsorship like any other company. they might just get preference though.

A tutor at uni is close to Jarvis and he is doing some work on sponsorship... He said it is likely to be a charity but wouldn't tell me who.

If Yorkshire Air Ambulance is on our shirt next year then that is fabulous. I really hope we do this.

To be honest, the small amount of money that sponsorship brings into the club (shirt and stand) you may as well give it away and gain the PR qudos.
It might be worth a bit more in the Championship, but at League One it's nothing.

Could be Macmillan - Doesn't Dean raise money through his shops for them.

casino red have paid the sponsorship money upfront, therefore it would make sense to promote a charity for free with no detriment to club finances.

I think a lot of clubs will begin to go down the charity route, as it the monetary value it brings through publicity must outweigh the benefit a league one club could get from a commerical deal. It would be brilliant if town could do it for one season!
