As much as yesterday's result hurt and will do until we meet in April (and beyond) as Town fans we need to focus on the issues that were swept under the carpet following the Pearson affair and the apparent improvement in form for a handfull of games.
The "big ambitious plans" are still unlcear
Davy has done little more than release some funds for Wallwork and Jevons
We are still woefully inconsistent and go from adequate to apalling from game to game.
We are still displaying relegation form and some change of impetus is required from the top
My worry is that fans will look to the Birmingham game and if we fail (honourably or otherwise) we face a struggle for the remainder of thr season. The questions raised by FFA are still valid and must remain at the for front of all Town fans' thoughts.
It is understanderable to be embarassed, upset and angry at yesterday's result. But ranting about Beckford, Wise, Leeds in general is wasted effort - being concerned about how we can enforce a change at the top is more important.
The difference between Town and Leeds over the 40 years has been better management from the top. All this nonsense about being our "cup final" is complete drivel.
Town fans need to be concerned about what can be done to put pressure on those who run our club to do better. Do better here and that so called gap can be closed.
DAVY OUT - It'll be the same call for me even if we got promoted this season and the next!!

Nicely put! if we only spend 37% (or whatever it is) on wages just think it would be lower if you included our 40% share of profit that the stadium generates!

Its clear that Town have no ambitous plans, and an announcement was made just to appease us fans. As much as i admire FFA, protesting against Davy is a moot point. At the end of the day he is in charge and is unwilling to sell up. The best way to protest is to stay away, as 3000+ already have. What really grates me is the progress other teams have made since leaving administration, Barnsley, Stoke and our notorious rivals to name but a few. All have surged forwards and it shows what a bit of speculation can achieve. It as if another set of rules applies to Town and we cannpt speculate at any cost.

They tell lies to try and con fans into parting with their money.... yet the reality is that the fans are staying away because of their lies..... what a stupid way to conduct a business that it is dependent on its customers..... 'KD: Try being truthful and realistic...we will understand.'

Exactly, those are two good examples out of a small list of clubs who have successfully come out of administration. It does seem at the moment that a different set of rules do apply. Missing out on Pearson is already costing us dear

I doubt FFA is just a shout of "Davy Out". Since the Pearson bid quite a few things have been done including trying to get some input from KMC. FFA have also been present at metings and asked appropiate questions. I don't think FFA will go away and i hope the other supporters groups will support their efforts more openly. At the end of the day. HTAFC can't afford to continue under the present circumstances. £2 million's worth of debt in the last 2 and a half seasons tells us that, whilst having the 4th/5th highest average gate in the league. Davy knows That FFA are there and if he wants a statue or to become Mr Huddersfield in the not too distant future he needs to pull his finger out and take care with the +'s and -'s when he does the accounts.

The "big ambitious plans" are still unlcear Good post dugnet! Here's an update from last Thursday's Patrons meeting, attended by the Board (sans KD). Andrew Watson's explanation of the 'ambitious plans' was simply a reiteration of the original declaration to be Top 30 by Centenary Year. He and Roger Armitage also claimed that Ritchie has not had a player request refused and that he (AR) is happy with his squad. This also extended to a similar statement about the coaching staff, i.e., he is happy with who's there and has not asked for anybody else. You can believe this or not but if you believe it then I think it is legitimate to ask why the Board hasn't questioned Ritchie more forcefully about the failure to deliver this season. We did get KD's blast a month ago, which immediately produced results but now we're heading back to where we were before that statement. For me, the end of December will be time again to ask those questions if we have achieved anything less that 10 points from the next 4 games.

What concerns me about this lot, is Dugnets post was replied to honestly knowledgeably and informatively from a founder member of FFA (Bro), and then followed up by an equally passionate and knowledgeable senior member of the patrons (Bob). Bob didn't even acknowledge Bro's points but chose to congratulate Dugnet on a "Good Post" For crying out loud! fucking talk to each other! join forces and get us out of this shit! How fucking childish can you get? Davy's sat back having a right laugh at the lot of you! how the fuck can he take any of you serious if you can't even get on with each other?

I couldn't agree more Mich and there is a mental block between supporters groups because of what i think most can guess. There are quite a few high horses. Personally i've had to step out because of my wife's health but hopefully after next weeks operation i can get back to normal and try do as you suggest.

Bob didn't even acknowledge Bro's points but chose to congratulate Dugnet on a "Good Post" I should have waited to reply to both posts at the same time but chose to give out some more info in the brief time I had before I went out. Back now and able to respond more fully to Bro's equally valid post. I'm as keen as anyone to keep ALL channels open. Things should become clearer if/when the possible amalgamation of the Supporters Club and the Trust becomes a reality. We shalln't know that until Jan 9 (the Trust meeting following the SC meeting this coming Thursday) but should continue a dialogue with FFA in the meantime.

But the supporters trust were the stumbling block to all supporters groups going forward as one at the last meeting with Davy? Carlton Midgeley stated that the Supporters trust had a different agenda. I wouldn't mind but Ken Davy as you know (Bob) is not keen on the ST and it was the FFA who kept insisting that all groups should be part of the process. FFA then said it would help the Supportersclub and support the same regarding promotion of membership. Maureen Proctor has since stated that they gained around 50 new members through that support. It was only after FFA's proposal to support the SC that you came up with the amalgamation suggestion with just them. It was only last week you e-mailed me and said "my hope would be that we can still come to a consolidated position for all independent groups. I do think that the SC and Trust thing needs to happen first but only because the FFA lining up with one or the other would be more divisive" Why's that then Bob? Is it because some people can't stand straight talking? It's a chuffing joke mate that's what it is and it's chuff all to do with Huddersfield Town anymore.

I obviously wasn't at the meeting to which you refer but it seems to me that Carlton's comment was taken out of context. Both the SC and the Trust (and the Patrons for that matter) have different agendas but that doesn't mean that groups can't come together. Clearly if two of those groups are to amalgamate then it's better to let that happen before inviting FFA to join in. And it has EVERYTHING to do with HTAFC

KD will do what KD wants do. He has no legal responsibility to explain his actions to any of us. We may not like it, but that is how it stands. He owns 60% of KSDL. So maybe, maybe apply the pressure to the other 40% i.e. the council. Since they exist to SERVE US!
And all this about the different groups is IMO bum fluff. If KD read DATM, he'd be having a good chuckle at this!

KD wanted to keep the movement of the shares quiet. KD didn't want to report the loan from the Giants. KD didn't feel he had to justify himself to a supporters group. KD didn't want the A.P offer to come to light. I think KD has changed his stance on a lot of issues and i also think he's had to alter a few of his other ambitous plans. He his surprized at what a group of supporters can find out and act on in this modern era and i think this is a good thing for HTAFC in general and in the long run. KSDL AND KMC are in the pipeline as KSDL is supposed to be a management company working in the best interests of HTAFC, The Giants and The council if we can get support from the right quarter then we might be able to press on this issue.

Ken Davy can do what he likes....and he does. FFA can do what it thinks best....and it does. The other supporters groups do what they can.....and they do (after consulting their members). Adam Pearson has been made aware of the allegations made about him by the board at the Patrons meeting. I believe he isn't happy.....and has threatened legal action We all do what we thinbk is best for the future of the club. We all go about it in different ways. If only everyone involved would be honest, open, truthful and say things as they happen.....like FFA does. Some people may not agree with everything they do....but FFA do what they do in good faith and for the betterment of HTFC. Ken Davy may not have been happy with the protests. But deep down I bet he respected them for at least standing up for the supporters of the club, and doing what they have always said they would do....representing the beliefs and wants of town fans. FFA hope to represent all town fans....including the fans who don't fit into the Patrons/ST/SC demographics!!

Firstly, I think there should be collective thanks to all these people for taking time out to do this. I imagine it's no small commitment to put the effort in.
However, I'm a proj mgr & after experiencing a divisive approach with many of my colleagues in the last few years, there is always success delivered, but the divisive approach makes it longer and harder to achieve and therefore the level of success achieved is generally diluted.
You're all in this for the good of the club, so for the anally retentive ones amongst you, get your fingers out of your process driven arses and start getting some results.
And I'll follow that up with my apology that I don't get involved & at the risk of being called a hypocrite with this post. But if you don't communicate properly, you only achieve partial success or worst case failure & I'm sure none of you want to still be playing a finger pointing game in 2 yrs time when all this in-fighting will have got 'nobody' 'nowhere' and taken bloody ages to get there to boot...

AP does right to consider legal action. It seems to be a recuring tactic by davy to try and discredit anyone who opposes him or has an alternative way of taking HTFC forward. First it was Haighs consortium, then FFA ,then Pearson. All claims with no obvious factual credibility.
As for the 'ambitious plans'. As most suspected as soon as he said it, there aren't any. Its the usual hogwash. Bit like our 'sound financial footing'. Another thing that clearly doesn't exist.

The problem we all have is that there are two few who are really concerned about the direction of the club. A run of poor results is sadly the only way that the majority will get upset and make a noise.
Many people have voted with their feet in the wake of the Pearson affair and the high handed morally superior stance adopted by the board in response. Even if we improve I will forever harbour doubts about Davy's stewardship.
As fans we are utterly helpless and are likely to suffer this contemptible nonsense for some time to come.
