for last night's Oldham v Leeds game. And wasn't it supposed to be some kind of charidee event. Oldham don't deserve the play offs with crowds like that.
I remember my Dad took me, when he worked for their sponsor, to see them beat Sheffield Wednesday 3-2 to get promoted in '91. There must have been 25k plus at that game, though it might have been their last on the plastic pitch.

So was there only 2835 locals there? As L***s must have taken 5000 as they're a "massive club" aren't they?

Cheers mate thought it was close to that, i'm a lazy tw@t and couldn't be bothered looking it up I don't think the attendances at home should justify a play off place, your starting to sound like a yids fan

I don't think the attendances at home should justify a play off place - I agree but you'd think they should be getting a few more in. That is pathetic for a game like that.

What with it being their 'cup final' against the 'champions of Europe' they should have been sold out with thousands more gathered out side for a chance to get a glimpse of the superstars in action!!!

I have a bit of sympathy with them, my lass and her Dad are Latics.
A few of them were very complimentary of our season ticket offer, and disgruntled that they were still paying the same price. Coupled with the fact they knocked down one of the stands, and won't be rebuilding it until the financial crisis blows over.
Just think, if Hoyle hadn't come in, what crowds would we be getting?

Surely the attendance cant have been only 7,835. There were over 4000 Leeds fans, the Oldham end behind the goal was full and the one stand along the side was full

With ST prices going up to something like 200-250 depending where you sit, whatever happens I think we'll average more next season than we have this.
If we sneak into the play-offs and go up, then next season we'll average more If we don't then next season we'll be at or around the top all season, so will average more that way too. ;D

Although the away following has been stated at 2815! That stand holds 4600, I believe you filled it for the cup tie last season, and everyone watching will agree it was at least 3/4 full. There were very few empty seats in the two home stands, so I would say there was about 6000 Oldham and 3500 Leeds, not sure if they fiddled with the figures or what. Anyway, decent point for us but disappointed as it was a game I feel we should have won.

I'd say an average of about 10,500 next season if/when we don't go up and the the ticket prices go up. Besides recession, I can't understand why though as the standard of football we have played since Clark came in is a lot better and the prices will return to the price they were 2 seasons previous.

Just been talking to a pal in Oldham and the Watersheddings area apparently took a real battering from Yids fans last night. Many Oldham fans stayed away from the match in fear! Says it all really.

Watersheddings is up on the moors! Nowhere near Boundary Park so if Leeds were up there it must have been sheep worrying. The mighty Leeds brought 2815.
