Can we please get an official statement from the club re what if anything is going to be done re the sponsor problem and why such a cheap transfer is used?
I have just bought an Away shirt but my lad wants a whole kit but I am reluctant to spend approx £60 further to have constant problems with it - let's face it shouldn't football kits be made to wear whilst playing footy and thus be a bit robust?
I don't think agreeing simply to replace the shirt is good enough - something should be done re Mitre and demand they get this sorted - surely they must be lots of kit manufacturers out there who are willing to do a proper job - such a shame cos these kits are growing on me.

Im not in the garment industry but.... Why does it need to be a transfer at all? Not like we'll be changing sponsors mid-season and Mitre can just rip it off and then iron on a new one is it?
Why cant they just make the sponsor logo part of the fabric like you would expect from a forty quid shirt?
Surely the initial runs are big enough to warrant a quality job

They should just embroider it in! I haven't had any problems with my shirt yet though.

The Giants have it embroidered in to the shirt and they really are a thousand times better quality of a shirt even though they only cost an extra 5er - have a look at them next time your in the club shop and you'll be amazed at the difference a fiver makes!

I'm sure that Sean and Dean will want to get this sorted ASAP as it could have a huge impact on what should be the biggest period of sales for the shirt (launch, people buying for their summer holidays, excitement of new signings, etc). Not to mention the pressure it must be putting on the club shop workers with having to deal with constant returns...
I think most would agree that so far, everything has been spot on so far with how much more 'professional' (commercially-minded... however you want to describe it) the club have been since Deano took over.
However, £42 is a lot of money even for a perfect, problem-free shirt... for one that is only going to have to be returned because of cheap work - not really good enough. I hoped that the sponsor on the prototype display shirt in the shop was only that - a prototype. It seems not.
Please PLEASE Sean/Dean, get onto Mitre asap and demand to see the kind of quality we're seeing delivered in every other aspect of the club at the moment.

I had the last Great Britain shirt anf the Gilette on that is quality... not danger of that peeling/flaking/coming off Only problem with the stitched badge is the nipple chafing... it could be used as a effective form of torture ;D I think it cost me £20 when I got it but there was only about 6 months of Great Britain being a side at that time.

Perhaps "kit quality" is something that HTSA could/should take up a dialogue with the club about, much like the concessionary stand dialogue last season?

And while they're at it, bring up the fact that the home shirt now only has a shelf life of one season instead of two. All Town shirts home and away have a shelf life of one season now...its in the Customer Charter (except the away kit becomes the 3rd choice kit in the second year). I think this was changed the season before the centenary? I must admit, I'm less inclined to buy a kit nowadays than I was in the days when they'd last 2 or 3 seasons....and plus what with them changing every year, there's so many 'recent' kits, that you don't look as much of an idiot wearing an old kit. Mind you - I'd like them to keep changing every kit every year UNTIL we get some kits worth keeping hold of!! The centenary home kit was nice (except for the sponsor logo), then going back I think the last kit that has actually been decent quality and design was the red and black striped one??
