Dear all
I have had a very lengthy chat with Mitre this morning regarding the sponsors logo and it appears that we have got to the bottom of the issue. There are however also double/triple checking everything as we speak and it is hoped within the next 24 hours I will be able to make an official announcement.
However, in the interim it appears that a small number (approx 200) shirts have had double or treble sponsors logos applied which is causing the top logo to bubble or crack. Ones with single logos applied are ok.
As mentioned to Mitre this is totally unsatisfactory and they are, as indicated further looking into the issue and will get back to me.
For our supporters, Mitre have apologised for the inconvenience for those who have had to bring the shirts back and I would add if any further supporters are experiencing the problem our retail staff will be able to replace the shirt with a correct one.
As mentioned as soon as I have heard form Mitre within the next 24 hours I will publish a statement on the site.
Regards
Sean

I think the three year old that made my shirt should have his/her hands chopped off to teach the rest of them a lesson. They should also have their 5p a week suspended for a month. Oh, wait a minute, they're not in Birkby anymore are they.

Great news Sean.
Although you have to wonder, if they clearly knew about the problem and numbers that were affected, why have they waited until you have approached them before they have come clean?

I have to say personally Mitre have produced some nice looking kits, however all have been poor fitting and quality, Time for a change I think!

My only problem with the kit is the length of the shirt? Other than that mines fine... It must be 4 inches too long at least...
Thansk for the update Sean!

Would still be interesting to know Sean why they can't integrate it in the shirt like many foreign teams do - I know it will be a tad more expensive to make but they really are poor - you put the seat belt over once and you click the shirt etc....
Cheers for your work though mate - just seen you starring on Sky Sports lol

Great news Sean. Although you have to wonder, if they clearly knew about the problem and numbers that were affected, why have they waited until you have approached them before they have come clean? In the Q.C. world it's called "taking a chance" If the problem had been flagged up during manufacturing then someone, somewhere will have decided that either A) The problem probably will not be an issue out on the market or B)Sod It! Let them go....i'm not having these faulty shirts attached to my production score, whilst crossing all their fingers. I'm guessing scenario B) here P.s. I work on a production line and I am responsible for some quality control and I can assure my standards are a lot higher than this....unless its near the shift end where option B) comes into play ;D
