.... and speaking of Liverpool, 4 - 0 in Marseille. Brilliant. Nope. Chuffing nightmare. Almost as bad as Bellend Road. Might be acceptable in California. Try living here. Poop day at work tomorrow surrounded by smug, arrogant, whingeing no-marks who make jokes and laugh at the Bradford fire, Munich etc then get all touchy about Hillsborough. They are Scum - not much above Leeds. (that's strong, sorry I still like your photo tho!!

I am LOVING the Forest score! Am I looking forward to work tomorrow?! 1) Had lots of grief from Forest fans after losing on Saturday, but I put the boot on the other foot, viz ... "What happened to YOU on Saturday?" "What?" "Losing 4-0 at Leeds (snigger)" "Oh, yeah - I was well-happy," "What? " "Yeah - I thought we'd have lost by at least six. Well-happy me," Did THAT annoy them??!!! 2) "Have you seen who we've got in the next round of the Cup?" "Yeah -Luton," "No, Liverpool!" "No ... you're not IN Round 3 yet; you've got Luton next," "Yeah, but we'll beat them - an' we're gonna be on telly too!!" "Don't be too sure. By the way ... we've got Birmingham ... at home (chortle)" WHOOOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Ha Ha MT. Enjoy tomorrow. ;D
Just as I hope all Town fans who have the good fortune to work with L**ds "fans" will mention the Cup occasionally (well, every 5 minutes or so..). ;D ;D

I made a special one for Rach, but she hasn't been on here yet tonight dammit. Sorry that you have to endure living in Liverpool. When we were in the old second division and Liverpool were great in the sixties and seventies, there were a lot of lads from around our way supported them (after Town of course). We would get the train from Mirfield and go watch them sometimes. Then when we got promoted it made it difficult to like them. That first year though we got a 0 - 0 draw with them at home. I remember feeling particularly proud, while standing down the front, watching Emlyn Hughes, England Captain, in close-up booting the ball anywhere to hold out for the draw.

Ha ha Phil nice one!! I did mean your Mac picture (honest ;D ;D) We may have to continue this as a PM to avoid boring everyone else, but I have heard (aside from your post, and also from "tame" Liverpool supporters ) that there was a strong following for my friends from Anfield from Hudds and environs around that time. Was it an anti-L**ds (or ManUre) thing, or football mania or just to see a good game? And I feel, even in 2007, your sense of pride watching Emmo have to hoof it. You should put that on the Great Town Memories thread!!. Cheers Phil. I.

I think it was a bit anti-L**ds, or probably mostly because they had some players with real charisma (Roger Hunt, Ian St John, Tommie Smith, porky pig Lawrence in goal, and Emmo of course) and Shankly as manager. And they should've held on to Frank. I guess we'll never know the whole story behind that one. Hole in the heart my arris, more likely a hole in .... well, I'll leave it at that.
Hey, did you see the make of the bike that Finbarr's riding, ha ha ha ha.

I've lived and more so worked all over Liverpool and have NEVER met one person like you described above. I knew people in Crosby were up their own arses but didn't know they were like that.
