The thieving christians nicked the mid-winter celebrations and decided to twist them for their own purposes and adopt them as their own. If christians want their own festivals then they can have their own and let us pagans get on with enjoying what we have done for centuries ;D |

Was speaking to an Italian Inter Milan supporter whilst on holiday earlier this year in Ibiza and tried to swop/buy that shirt off him, but no deal.
As stated it is a good un!
What was funny about that holiday was that there was a group of 7 Inter fans in the hotel along with another group of 6 AC fans, considering that most of the clients were English, this lot would not speak or even acknowledge each other the whole time

This could be interpreted as genocide and as equally it could be interpreted as something else. You left yourself wide open to an interpretation (rightly or wrongly) like that. And that is where religion is a massive problem - interpretation. i just wanted to highlight that!
You could have drawn several conclusions, correct, but I was questioning your mental state in concluding 'genocide'!
Going back to the topic, I think the shirt looks very nice.
Clear enough?
Its just concerning how you arrive at the conclusion of genocide!

The problem with moving these kinds of discussions onto seperate boards is most people will never see them as they tend to stick with 'Talk of the Town'. Theres only so much to say about Town at some times. I think the occasssional thread about Capello,Milan shirts ,this crap government etc, add to the board and if anything stop it being cluttered up with endless waffle about Leeds Utd, bremners statue and the like.

And that's why I haven't moved it Lee. Some topics could easily clutter up this board and should be kept Off Topic or Technical Help etc. and as I said before, this started out as a discussion about a footy shirt and it has wandered WAY WAY off topic, pretty much like things did on DATM ;D

300 is about as historically accurate as Braveheart. I don't think it was written to be historically accurate more just to be an excellent novel and later a good film But I like the kit. Its a shame england dint think of it. |

The thing is, say a German side came over to England with a Nazi sign on their shirt they'd be outrage right? The Nazi sign in our culture is generally perceived as evil and the Templar red cross could be perceived in a similar veil in certain Islamic regions/people. The big difference is the timeframe. Overall you'd say he's kicking up a big fuss over a symbol, but symbology plays a MASSIVE part in the world, more than you'd think! |
