I detest handbags  because contrary to the norm I end up with my bag full of HIS keys to the car,the house,works carpark, wallet( don`t mind that bit),tissues when he has a cold etc etc. |

This link is a troubled board or is it a confused board?We are HUDDERSFIELD,but seem to be divided between town and giants.Its a shame we cant be together!

But not everyone who supports Huddersfield Town comes from Huddersfield. Many come from Dewsbury, Batley and Wakefield who have their own rugby teams. Plenty of people have no interest in rugby whatsoever. |

exactly jamie. This board isn't supposed to be a board for the interests of it's moderators. I love NFL but i wouldn't expect a board to appear about it on here. Plus the Giants are a contentious subject whether people like it or not. I don't think any of the admin staff are Giants fans. The board was requested by one member, one of the admin staff made the board. Personally I think he asked for that board for mischief making purposes. I think the results of his poll are showing what people think of the Giants but then I think he expected that reaction anyway. I look on the Giants as a bad smell, you don't half notice it at first but it soon goes away. ;D you've gone down in my estimation there stan.. i put a poll on to see what people thought of where they'd finish and added the davy thing at the end as a gesture to all the giant and davy haters.. no mischief making on my part at all.. you go on about the examiner just saying what the club wants them to say and your doing the exact replica... if you don't like the posts you don't have to click on the board... theres many rugby fans on here who would imo use the board once the season kicks off... it would free up the town site and not piss off the giants/rugby hating town fans.. anyone who has a problem with this rugby forum can come and see me in the kilner bank if they wish... i'll be the one in the claret and gold fartown shirt... how many takers.. my guess NONE!!!! thanks bbb for putting the board on, you my friend are genuine and i've got alot of time and respect for you but it looks like a good and tidy way of talking rugby has been taken away through no fault of your own!!!! |

Joe, there is an off topic board if you want to start anything connected solely with the Giants. As I told you on the old DATM, there are dedicated rugby forums for discussing all things Giants. And don't tell me you've never posted anything to stir up a bit of mischief in the past because I know damn well fine you have. The start of the Super League season is a good 2-3 months away yet so why ask for a board now? How the hell you can compare this site to the Examiner I don't know because all points of view regarding Huddersfield Town are allowed to be voiced on here. I've told you before, i'm Huddersfield born and if there's any rugby team I want to see doing well then it's the Giants. I consulted other admin staff to ask their opinion as a few strong opinions had been expressed on the board and in a couple of PMs to myself. BBB removed the board before I got home to read the replies from the rest of the admin staff. I wouldn't have put a seperate board myself but seeing as it had been made I wasn't right bothered whether it had stayed or it went. As the two clubs are joined at the hip so to speak the subject of the Giants is always going to be raised in some way as the thread on Town not being able to train at the McAlpine has proved. You wear your Giants shirt as much as you want Joe, doesn't bother me in the slightest if you wear it to a Town game as it probably doesn't bother thousands of others. Just make sure you don't get mistaken for a chicken ;D |

i'm all for you having a clean and tidy way of discussing the giants. How about you set up or contribute to a giants forum?
If i want to discuss the NFL i go to an NFL forum.
If i want to discuss snooker i'll go to a snooker forum.
If i want to talk about the abolition of the monarchy i go to republic.org.uk, cos their forum is about that subject.
do you get where i'm coming from?
I must admit that if you were to set up a giants forum, you may have a claim on the name 'downatthemac', since you own the stadium and we don't. But that's by the by.
