i could be completely on my own here, and if i am fair enough. i'm a great believer in democracy.
But i can't let it pass without commenting how absolutely disgusted i am that you have set up a forum for the Huddersfield Giants.
There's turning the other cheek but that takes the biscuit.
I wouldn't feel more annoyed if you had set up a Leeds United forum.
If you caught somebody rooting through your family silver would you put posters of him up on your wall?
I know there's plenty of you don't see it like that but there's plenty of us who do. Isn't that taking the you know what a bit?

Yeah! There was no Giants forum on DownAtTheMac and thats what this is supposed to be. We have forums for all sorts of things but the Giants should f-off somewhere else.

exactly jamie. This board isn't supposed to be a board for the interests of it's moderators. I love NFL but i wouldn't expect a board to appear about it on here. Plus the Giants are a contentious subject whether people like it or not.

I don't overly mind to be honest.
At the end of the day they share the Galpharm with us so whether you like them or not there is a link between the sides, and will be long after KD is gone

The alternative is to make this a massive community about everything... It could be potentially huge! Get some politics categories on the go! And a bit of NHL would be lovely too!

The board was requested by one member, one of the admin staff made the board. Personally I think he asked for that board for mischief making purposes. I think the results of his poll are showing what people think of the Giants but then I think he expected that reaction anyway. I look on the Giants as a bad smell, you don't half notice it at first but it soon goes away. ;D |

Reason been people who want to go in there can go in there people who don't want to don't although i'm sure they have one of their own somewhere..

so we're agreed we don't want 'em here, but the best way to achieve that is to set up a nice little discussion board for them on our site?
lets have a LU site too then for rachael and that other clown.

I personally have no issue with it and if people like Stavros don't want to read anything at all about the Giants then this helps them out. This ensures that no threads about the Giants whatsoever will make it on to this board for him to be so disturbed about.
Let people vote with their feet (or mice) if no one is interested in the board then no one will use it and it will die a natural death.

i imagine lots of people are interested in the Giants. That's not the point. Lots of people are interested in lots of things but that doesn't mean this Town board should acknowledge the fact by setting up alternative discussion boards for all (or any) of them.

Just posted my comments on the Fartown section, and hope the powers that be take note, this board is now being spoilt, why cant they set up their own forum? I will keep an eye out but if this is how things are going to develop I will wait until we are a Top 30 side before returning. Why not have a proper vote on the subject at least we will find out who is the minority.

Looking at the number of posts on it no one seems to care either. It was an experiment. Given the imminent appointment of a new England manager I thought the subject might create some interest. If it fails it shall join the Giants board on the scrap heap. |

Bloody hell what a touchy lot on here, thought that the Giants board was a good idea and seeing as a lot of Town fans watch Fartown it catered for people who support both teams. thought it might have been left on to see how it went on but never mind the Giant's haters win. Seems some posters on here are only happy when moaning/outraged about something. maybe we could fiddle the books between the two message boards so that it looks like the Town board has more income so that we can get round the message board salary cap rules! We could then transfer the giants 40% stake in the Town message board to 'Huddersfield Message Board Pride Ltd' and promote the Town message board incessantly on the Giants board?
