vivian is quite right when she states the downfall of Bradford was to have two clubs. BPA were always The Bradford club, ask any old timer from that city and they'll tell you that "The Avenue" were the club of the Bradford people. Two clubs in the same City getting 20,000 crowds and both hating each other. The Stan fans hated us with venom and many would never consider following City after they departed the League and subsequently folded. Many of the Stan fans turned to L33ds and followed them rather than follow City. The hatred was immense and a fan of Bradford City built a chimney at Clayton on the Bradford to Queensbury railway line which is no longer there, with a replica of the FA Cup built into the stone and commemorating our win in 1911.The chimney still stands to this day and is a grade2 listed building. I have been to the last 3 friendlies with BPA and the Stans hate us with a passion to this day and my father in law is a Stan fan and he remembers the hatred back in the day and still has it. If Bradford had just one football club at the turn of the last century, then that club would have had crowds in excess of 40,000 and i think things would have been far different. mmmmm interesting i stand erected....sorry corrected viv.why are they called stans??

Just heard from a friend in the know, that Uddersfield's new manager has been lined up, he is called 'Win Wun Soon' and is of Chinese dissent There is indeed, a lot of dissent in China.

And for anyone new to DatM, might I suggest you take your time to read this...
The Guide to Viv
1. Make jokes about a team who are not only in a whole division higher than your own, but even manage to beat your team in the reserves as well.
2. Make obvious references to bestiality to further your 'street-cred' with all your mates, providing of course you actually have any. If not, then consult either my right/left hand, or talk endlessly into your pillow.
3. MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR POINT ACROSS, MAYBE NOT BY SHOUTING, BUT STARTING WHOLE NEW THREADS TO GET YOUR 'POINT' ACROSS!
4. Make obvious jokes about an award winning stadium all the while in the knowledge that your own stadium is about as symmetrical as the toes, fingers and teeth of the jolly ol' people of Bradford.
5. Make 'inter family relations' jokes about your apposing team even though there is only 10 miles separating the places and that the city of Bradford is further down the education, quality of medical, crime-prevention, etc, than Huddersfield.
6. Also make sure to undermine any genuine sensible and calculated response with any of the jokes provided above. This will ensure that you do actually rule supreme and are not some 35 year old virgin watching reruns of Red Dwarf all night long!
7. Lastly and most importantly, make outrageous claims and 'opinions' about Bradford City in relation to Huddersfield Town. (i.e. we are better than you, although we lose every time we play you now and are in a lower division than you!, etc!)
I hope this has helped in understanding the mind of Viv and the other folk down the road. Join me next time as I find the flaws in EVERY SINGLE STATEMENT that they make, all the while actually believing their own 'hype'
Thank you for reading! (can't be arsed writing anything else at the moment!)

I work for Bradford Council and you still give false figures. You have to give us your real attendance figures to comply with your Health & Safety Certificate rules. Your average attendance this season is around 8,000 Divulging any council information in public and what you are privy to is taken very seriously indeed, even if it is a load of crap Under the freedom of information act, anyone is entitled to have this information. Bradford City are legally bound to give you that info if you ask.

I know they're only pictures, but, it gives you a good insight to what crowds we do get on matchday. Bradford City 1 Burton Albion 1 - 11,439 (339 Burton fan's) Honestly, does the crowd look more like 8,000 of 11,500? Just wondering, like?

Thank fook for that, you just bored the t/ts off me and countless others with that bag of drivel. It was quite funny. Viv - you amuse me and I enjoy some of your posts... However, the irony amused me the most in how you're usually on here 'dangling your rod' and quite often catching yourself some tiddlers but then Berty went and beat you at your own game there :iconlol: Good haul Bertram.

I said the AVERAGE is about 8,000. I will try and find out the true attendance for that game tomorrow. I don't work in H&S but have a 'mole' So, you're saying we average around 8,000 in League Two. But, 3,500 more Bantams turned up against Burton as oppose to our 'usual' 8,000 average crowds? We haven't averaged less than 8,200 in the league in over 14 season's - I think we'd know if Valley Parade had 8,000 in attendance on average on matchday - And for a start, when we averaged 8,500+ in League One a couple of season's ago, only three blocks of the Midland Road stand was open - Whereas 5 blocks are allocated to home supporters. queeny, i honestly think berty's closer, even though i think its more around the 9000 mark, side stands always look fuller when your in the north/south stand. Nearer to 8,000? Are you being fricking serious. :iconlol: Although, I do agree with the fact that attendances per stand can be quite deceiving pending on what angle you're looking at the stand(s) from. As an example, this is what our Main Stand would look like face-on on matchday. Capacity - 9,006. Bottom tier holds around 4,800. Not exactly full to the brim, but certainly 4,000+ City taking advantage of the Main Stands facilities. If our crowds are nearer the 8,000 figure on average, then surely there must be less than 4,000 souls in't'other stands? - I beg to differ. The top tier of the Bradford End has a capacity of just under 1,100 and is sold out this season, also. I think you're way out due to your lack of knowledge of what our stands can hold in capacity - Which is understandable.

I bet there's nearer 2,500 in the Midland road stand alone, neverminf what's in the Kop. Not that hard to guess? Well, obviously it is judging by your predictions. When you've got three stands that rap round into a corner that have a combined capacity of 18,798, it is difficult to judge. But, when you've been attending matches every season at VP since the Corner and Sunwin Upper stadns where built and in that time, more often than not, we averaged around 9,000ish, I'm bound to know how full or not so full VP would look if only 8,000-9,000 where in attendance. I'm just saying, like....

You'r a bradford city fan and you play in league 2, we don't care about you anymore aye, funny how they go on and on about attendances, but whatever way you look at it, ours are better Except you're missing the all important fact, TFB. When it comes to away support and especially 'true' away support in terms of home to away ratio's, you actually have poorer away support than ourselves. We're in the league below and you still can't match our away followings - 'Say's it all, really'.

Jesus wept you thick twats, you support Bradford City, yopu play morecambe, aldershot, dagenham and burton, you're last up on the football league show, you're last up on the yorkshire evening post, you're last up on radio leeds, and you're last up on our list of priorities. So does us all a favour and go and thumb yourselves whilst you think of all those bradford fans in VP
