Feel so sorry for the lad, hope his appeal is successful, sounds a genuine case to me, at least he is contributing something to society too. Problem is others will use this case to get to stay and sponge off the state.
Should he be allowed to stay?

Should he be allowed to stay? My opinion on immagrants is if they fled to save there life and then they are working over here they should be alowd to stay. if they are just taking benefit they should be sent home. So IMO he should stay as he is working and did flee for his life. Not because he is a pro football player

This lad should be allowed to stay and would be a travesty if he was sent home.
He has worked very hard to get where he is at Watford and unlike some of the sponging bastards that just leech off our welfare, he has made an effort to carve a life out here and pays his taxes etc like the rest of us.

yep, saw the scenes during atford match.
The guy was moved to tears.......does'nt sound like a "craig bellamy" kind of bloke either then!
If he's shipped back home then this gov't wants shooting....how come they can let half of bradford stay illegally whilst also driving round like diks with no insurance or tax.
Sooooo in conclusion let him stay!

I say he should stay this is just the government using an high profile case to try and trick the nation that they are tough on immigration. He is working and paying taxes lots of tax. i also agree with the view above on sadford.

If he is here illegally then he should be sent back. The govenment will check if he is in any danger.
People have a go at the govenment for letting too many illegals into the country. They try and do something right and get threatend with shooting !!

no, i have a go at the gov't when they let illegals in that bring nothing to britan, are inolved in crime and are just a nusiance to society....again like most of bradford.
Bangura I imagine is an inspiration to alot of youngsters in watford, plus i imagine his tax bill is massive. Thus he should stay.
Our gov't could not arrnage a piss up in a brewery. For one of the best economies in the world, we seem to fuck up alot of things. Immigration been one of them

He isn't here illegally, he came here seeking asylum and refuge from a war torn country. Sadly there are hundreds of cases like this where people are sent back into dangerous situations.

They're illegal because they have managed to slip in without proper credentials. Also too many in the past have tried the asylum system to try to stay in the country. Genuine asylum seekers have had their image tarnished by the freeloaders who have tried to exploit the asylum system and the distortions in the right wing media haven't helped either.

you wouldn't believe how many failed assylum seekers that are in this town (not to mention the country) who the government don't have enough resource to track down and send back... this guy was high profile, so he was an easy target. At least he is contributing...so let him stay . if the government can't send the others who don't contribute back why should they pick on him....

In my opinion if he is not in danger in his home country he should be sent home irrespective of the fact that he is pro footballer and irrespective of the fact he pays his taxes.
It would be a dangerous precedent to set that just because you are working and contributing taxes that you should be allowed to stay in this country if the political situation that led you to claim asylum is improved upon or resolved then in my opinion you should be senthome.
What is even more frustrating is the news that failed asylum seekers are given a £1000 our our money to get on a palne to go home and then can gety another £3000 from us to set up businesses in their native country. At no point do we check if this money is spent on a business venture nor do we make sure they do not return to the uk again.

The whole immigration thing is just a massive cock up anyway but if i he shouldn't be here then he will probably be sent home. Its frustrating if he is earing a wage, paying taxes etc but i remember when i was working in Australia and my visa ended, i had a decent job, paying taxes, not trying to sponge off the government but i wasn't allowed to stay.. just too many free loaders in this place which makes it harsher for the lad to swallow, at least Australia are pretty consistent in their stance That's not strictly true, as I understand Australia will allow you an extension of your visa if you have a skill no one else / very few has, which in someway benefits the economy (you need a business to prove this and then sponsor you), hence Doctors can go there without much hassle. What also helps your case in Aus is a healthy bank balance (something this lad will have) Clearly this lad has a skill that few others have and something you can't teach. In Australia they'd probably invite him to the Australian Insitute of Sport! I find it amazing people can be (rightly) so sympathetic toward Danny Schofield but so hard nosed to a bloke who has known twice the hardship and only asks for a chance to continue living here, paying his taxes and raising his young family in relative safety
