Wish they'd shut up and get on with it, whinging gits! If Bates would've followed the FL rules they wouldn't need to worry about this as they wouldn't have had the points deduction in the first place!

Well, we've already been deducted 25 points for going into adminitration.
Luton have(so far) been deducted only 10 points for what appear far greater offences.
We watch with interest.
And many more clubs seem to be going the same way, well done to all the league chairmen(with a few exceptions) whose decision to uphold Leeds' points deduction, based on shortsighted self interest, may well result in many small clubs going out of existence.
Of course, we will have every sympathy.

When are you going to get punished for the pitch invasion during the Ipswich game, you know when you tried to get the game abandoned because you didn't like the result?

A man of his word is ken bates. He gave his word to the fl that if they put it to a chairmens vote, he would not go to court whatever the outcome. I wouldn't buy a used car from him.

Huddsterrier, when has anyone ever had a points deduction for a pitch invasion?
Personally I don't give a toss whether we get the points back or not, in fact it would be all the sweeter to achieve promotion with the deduction and recieve the trophy from Mawhinney with 'fuck off to the football league' ringing in his ears.
That might take the smug grin off his face.

We had our goalie missing for your cup final, its history, you wont find us rattling on about it next year! Your a fool of you thought that the rest of the chairman would back you! Who in their right mind would not take points off the team that were clearly gonna be challenging as champions. The only ones that didnt, are the ones that shall be going to Monaco for a long weekend.

Yet you have a pitch invasion, hurl objects at the Ipswich fans, try to get the game abandoned and seemingly get off scot free (unless I've missed something) Then you complain of being harshly treated!

Look, it all depends which side you're on.
If it had happened at your club then you'd feel the same as we do.
Human nature.
But I love how it winds you all up. ;D

Ah, but the last time you TRULY won the European CHAMPIONS cup, you weren't even champions. Anyway, we did TRULY win the European cup in 1975, we sing a song about it so it must be TRUE. WACCOE!!!

Can the League impose an additional points reduction? Be nice to think they could/would ;D Frivolous appeal is typically punished at equivalent the original punishment. ie, in this case, minus another 15 points and remove 3 European titles.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this comment:
"The only winner is HMRC "
He's whining about the fact that he couldn't cheat his way out of paying taxes - and, if I'm not mistaken, they're still only paying 50%, right?
If HMRC didn't do something about this, every team in the League could conspire to go into administration at the end of the season. They'd all be docked ten points but, other than that, they table would look the same, and then they could all avoid paying taxes.
If he's going to spend all this energy on this, when his team's probably going to get promoted anyway, why doesn't he spend at least as much time finding an ex-Bayern Munich player or employee who's fallen on hard times and have them spill the beans on the bribed referee in 1975?? I ain't no L666ds fan, but that was a pretty obvious fixed match.

I think that L**ds will win their appeal.
The FL and FA are run like a gentlemans club with rules made on a handshake, gentlemans agreement, fairplay and clubs accepting that they have a responsibility to look at the morals of their acts.
No court or tribunal could accept that L**ds have ever tried to meet those standards of behaviour so they should be exempt. I suspect that the L**ds version of the dictionary has morals defined as - 'something other people worry about'.

OMG, I knew when I was typing that it was going to encourage you I actually watched that game the night before my final exams at Uni. Well, what do you think ?? Should I have a word with yer Chairman when I'm over, encourage him to get the '75 result overturned (some on here know that's not as daft a statement as it might look)?? Wasn't there a lawsuit a few years back where an English team sued a Belgian(?) team over a fixed EUFA Cup Final, and won ?? My memory's mush.

That is a very strange quote H0L4 In 68 our first major European triumph by the way, you only qualified for entry by winning the previous seasons league and in 1999 a small event called the treble occured, You may have heard of it? League Champions, FA Cup Winners and European Cup Winners (or Champs League as its now called) ;D ;D ;D Fact that Arsenal won the league the previous season 97/98 does not matter as rules allowed us entry. Ah following the rules now that something Leeds are famous for ;D
