Along with an experienced centre half. Some funds may be available, depending on how many Southern Hemisphere players are on their way to The Midgets for their next campaign.

I'd like to sign Jevons , another midfielder and a centre back. With Worthington fit again I wouldn't have wallwork in my starting X1. Started well in the first few games but has got gradually less effective. (could also describe Cadamarteri)

We need all 3 positions filling for certain. Another centre back is a must, Jevons (preferably) and Wallwork (hopefully) to stay. (PS My step-son is a Stoke fan and has heard nothing of Andy Holdsworth interesting them. In fact, he is horrified that his team would even be considering one of our players ).

We need a striker - jevons; a left winger - ?; an experienced centre half; and a central midfielder to have any chance of challenging.
I'd sign wallwork if available and at the right wage- i still feel over his loan spell he has been consistent and generally solid and reliable and scored 3. We lack the nasty streak in the side but is one who offers us that. He has also allowed holdsworth to be free to attack when he is at his best. (top of assists league remember)
Its great to see worthy back, but i think as a pair, wallwork sitting, holdsworth driving forwards is the best option we have.
But if wallwork would be on even half the 6k a week he is reportedly on, no way should we sign him - use the wage to get two good players at this level.
Collins has a lot to make up from this season - he excelled so much and was overused last season, carrying hudson. Most expected far too much this year and i said that at the outset...he was bound to 'stall' at some point.
But his stall has lasted half a season - he was very very unlucky with that tremendous shot on saturday. However, otherwise he went missing, didn't see enough off the ball and showed how much we missed holdsworth in there.
But it might be a case of letting wallwork go to get a left winger and an extra defender, in addition to jevons.

Players In - Jevons, Elliott, Wallwork (doubt it with his wages) and a central defender (sam collins anyone? ;D) Players Out - Beckett (not his fault entirely, just crap service to him), brandon, young and a few young uns out on loan - ie eastwood, berrett, racchi, etc

Does anyone know if there is any truth in the rumour that Filipe Da Costa may be joining us?

Does anyone know if there is any truth in the rumour that Filipe Da Costa may be joining us? We're trying to farm him out on loan to get him acclimatised to the English game in readiness for the championship, at the moment he appears to be a one trick pony (all flicks and step-overs) but he definately has talent. A loan move to the galpharm could be just the job, as long as he doesn't play in march.
