I remember I think he went on the cheap to hull.
Might do same for town to avoid moving his family. Think he would be a good signing for us

...fingers crossed as he's a very good player and AR seems to be pulling a few good players together which will form the basis of a good team....

Good players on loan sometimes turn out a bit rubbish, remember Wayne Burnett? Probably quite a few more too. A gamble whatever, suppose if they are rubbish on loan not much is lost. It's the cheap option anyway, which is what this club is all about right now

I don't see Elliott as a cheap option
And hopefully we get him in, I'd rather him than Wallwork because there's gerater need for a decent left winger (we carry Schofield IMO) than a fourth good centre midfielder
Jevons and Elliott would both be great statements of intent that we intended to get promotion

the problem with elliot is the potential of a bidding war for the player of which am doubt town could win

I remember I think he went on the cheap to hull. Might do same for town to avoid moving his family. Think he would be a good signing for us brought for £230,000 back in 2001 by the then hull city manager jan molby from motherwell. he's 29 and his strengths are goal-scoring, dribbling and ace celebrations ;D (peter beagrie anyone?). weaknesses are tackling and cofidence (for the time being). would be a brilliant signing for town if we can get him.

if we do sign him, he'll be the butt of jokes datm. he's a very religious man (catholic to be precise). let's hope he's any good as lord starbuck was :-). if that's the case, i'll be very happy indeed.

signing these players will come at a price tho. there is no chance of Mr.Davy giving funds to the club without players leaving.
personally i would sign jevons and sell beckett (sorry becks, not fault in particular, but jevons brings more to the team and probably is on a lower wage), buy elliott and sell brando (not schofield yet. give him until the summer, he deserves that much as least for the service he has given to town) and sign wallwork at the END OF THE SEASON when he'll be available on a free or extend his loan until the end of the season.
im not saying he isn't a good player, but worthy is coming back and we NEED a central defender more so than a centre midfielder at the moment.
just trying to be realistic. i can see jevons coming, but then unless players leave in january, i can't see anymore joining for the time being.

Elliott turned down an approach from us in November didn't he? only, because he wanted to stay at hull and fight for his place though.

He's been told that there is more or less no place for him there, so coming to Town looks like a great option for him now hope so
