When someone posts in the wrong section, they are very quick to jump up and down however when foul and abbusive language is used, I dont see anything. Why is it not filtered? This is meant to be a family channel, however I woudlnt encourage kids on here any more We're already in too much hot water for what little "administering" we do on the site as it is. I don't think there is a filter than can be applied and even if there was, like the old DATM site, i'm sure there would be ways round it. Let's be honest here, most kids by the time they're 13-14 will be swearing like troopers at school as it is. They're not going to learn much new here in the way of profanities. I can understand it if young children are logging on here but from what i've seen of most DOBs on of those registered on here, youngest seems to be about 14. I think a small request to people to show some restraint in the language department should suffice. |

Ive just removed my signature to help things. There is a swear filter but its seriously annoying and substitutes words like nobber to dobber and cocknose to clocknose  . I was hoping we could all use a little sense about this and behave like adults. If theres an odd swear word so what? Its not the end of the world... Obviously I dont want it littered with swearing but I think in the first few weeks its been pretty harmless so far  MT ;D |

I just read posts from people telling each to F off and calling them W...kers and just think its pretty poor.. the other DATM had a pretty decent filter, ok a bit of creative thinking could get round it but bad language was pretty minimal Agreed marko but then it doesn't mean we all have to join in with it. The language will have been minimal because most people probably couldn't be bothered to be creative enough to bypass the filter. Personally I thought some of the abuse handed out to Rachel was way OTT but then she did come looking for it and brought it on herself. We've tried to keep the "Rivals" feel by allowing this type of banter to continue but if it does get too OTT then I'm sure someone will step in and ask for the offenders to calm down a bit. |

The thread titled "this site" just made think why.? As for the Rachel thing, must admit, when she 1st came on, I bit, then took it for what it was, a bit of banter, if we cant take it, we shouldn't give it and i kinda enjoyed her and other weeds fans giving us a bit of light hearted banter, thats whats its all about I think.. Sadly that got very personal and nasty, sad but what can you do hey.. Never mind hey, Merry Crimbo chaps sorry if it offended you marko... I purely left that on there as a testament to what a complete wazzock that fool made of himself... seriously if anyone else thinks the language is out of order on here generally just drop me a line.... hopefully we wont have to resort to ridiculous censorship. merry christmas to you too pal ;D |

It was only posted because the subject matter is so ridiculous, if you start talking about swearing, it only gets worse.
The language on here is not that bad and i only use it if it's in context and never in an abusive way!

The point i was making was 'the more you talk about it you're just highlighting the problem and it gets worse'.
