DannyG: why the worm? lets get this thread completely off topic, basically i want a wikipedia of posters on here. I've only had a couple of glasses of Pinot noir, oh and an Irish coffee this morning. Shall I come back later ??
But before I get incoherent, I must say that that bloke who cringes at this board must have a really full and rewarding social life. I do hope he takes this opportunity to tell us all about it. 'Tis true though, I even cringe at some of my own posts on the "nobber" thread in the Off-Topic section !!!!
I think Rachael's gone on walkabout again, so no knickers talk, dammit. I was going to ask her out too when I come over in January!!! Bugger.

.... actually I don't remember the old Board being such a "nobber-magnet"  ive had a few pms saying datm and geoff expressly didnt allow nobbers. Glad u are coming over phil, hope u bring us some luck and some points. Personally I think its fantastic that we have terriers who are spread all over the world. geese : where in manc did u live/born? Born in East Yorkshire, but my uncle Derek was an Ashton Under Lyne lad and its him who got me into football and took me to all the United games. (He was a Manchester lad, so does that count as not being a glory supporter?) They were sh*t when I first started watching them as Liverpool ruled supreme in the days of Coppell, Jordan, Buchan, Stepney and McQueen. Just for the record he lived on Stamford Street East, not far from Tameside College and Stamford Park (if you know the area). Stamford Park had a boating lake, paddling pool and was a nice park in them days. |

My parents moved over to work in Wigan a month before I was born. We lived in a place called Appley Bridge and when I was about 18 I met a girl at a club who was from Skelmersdale, an overflow of Liverpool.
I bought a house up there when I was 20, got married, had 2 kids, got divorced and have stayed there ever since.
It's about 10 miles from Liverpool but has strong links with the town.
