How come our new shirt wasn't ready for the play-off final. I was amazed to see Peterborough in a new kit by a new manufacturer and plenty of their fans were wearing it.
Town would have sold thousands of the new umbro kit.
If it's about contracts with Mitre etc that's rubbish. Surely kit deals should run from end of April to end of April therefore giving clubs chance to maximise sales should they get to a play-off final. We've had 4 years of mitre so that was plenty of time to sort out the replacement and have some made. :ranting:

It IS about contracts with Mitre. We had signed till the end of the season. Daft I know but there you go...

Contract was in place and we couldnt break it - we would have earned a significant bonus had we won. Rest assured we try not to miss any opportunities - cant please everyone all the time  Here's to a brilliant 2011/2012! |

Hi Smj1, I hope the Umbro deal you set up finishes end of April in 4 years. So we can take advantage of new shirt sales in the 2015 champions league final. Peterborough had the foresight didn't they.

Not seen the Peterboro contract so can't comment. But I have heard about some details - and it was interesting to say the least  But I am happy with the contract we have with Umbro And I look forward to beating Barca! |
