They drew against Preston, Charlton, Sheff U and Franchise... So it shouldn't be an easy game to win. They seem to be quite stubborn against good opposition.
On the other hand, the optimistic side of me says 3-1 Town, again - Rhodes x2, Roberts

i thought they'd be up there at the top at the start of the season with us, not so sure now, but we seem to play better away than at home so I reckon it'll be a win.

So Scunthorpe are gonna be our biggest test eh?
Suppose Sheff utd away, MK Dons away, Brentford away, and Preston at home are considered easy games then?
Those teams are much better sides than Scunthorpe but we despatched 3 of them with ease.
Go back to planning for the play offs.

Their fans are cacking it that they're going to get a hammering. They can't score and the squad they have now is poor compared to the one that got relegated last season.
It's taking some adjusting to the fact that it's getting less and less likely that Town will let us down, and I hope it's not Tuesday, but I now feel that even when we do lose a game we'll go down fighting and come back stronger.

You really are shitting it that we're going to leave you trailing behind aren't you? Good luck in the play offs though, there's a 25% chance you'll really enjoy them.

Did you know that Dave 'Chinny' Cowling scored the first ever league goal at Glanford Park back in 1988? I didn't even know that he'd played for Scunthorpe!? Slightly off topic I know :offtopic: www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/page/GlanfordPark

To be fair there were a few on here recently citing tomorrow's game as a potential likely end to the unbeaten run as well. With Woods suspended and thus a decision to be made over whether to risk Roberts with Naysmith then it won't be easy by any means.

I work with a Scunny fan and he is absolutely dreading tomorrow, this was because he thought we were 29 unbeaten. When I told him it was 39 the colour practically drained from his face!

I must admit some nerves about this game. its always the ones who just seem to coast along with no bad results and no great results that upset the apple cart. scunthorpe certainly fit that description, theyve not stood out at all this season, good or bad.
I would like to reach the 40 game unbeaten mark. Whats the english record?

Forest 42 games if you don't include the Premier League, but I don't understand why you wouldn't include the Premier League because what Forest were playing in at that time is the equivalent of the Prem these days. So it's Arsenal with 49. Long way to go yet!

If it's the play-offs for us then so be it, we usually rise to the big occasions, the thing i dread the most is doing a Huddersfield, be up there win win win all season, get pipped at the end for automatic, then get turned over in a play-off final. Got to admit lads i did feel sorry for you last season, and i do hope you go up this year, underneath us like.

Your away game will be just as tough as ours if not tougher given your away record so why not just concentrate on your own game. I'm sure your forum was full of bravado on how you were going to walk all over Stevanage a few weeks ago.
Tomorrow will be a tough game for us no doubt about it, just hoping we can continue our good form and get another win although a draw wouldn't be such a bad result.

Scunthorpe is a classic bannana skin fixture for Town. Small ground, decent side but with no expectations on or off the pitch so they can play with freedom. Town, as the bigger club are expected to win and the pressure is on us - so its all set up for a fall.
HOWEVER, we've done well to counter act this in the past 40 games so hopefully, we'll get a point at least. Make no mistake, tomorrow will be as hard as it gets in league 1 and they'll be up for it

Got to admit lads i did feel sorry for you last season, and i do hope you go up this year, underneath us like. Getting pipped to second wasn't as bad as expected. There was no feeling of being hard done by or cheated out of promotion. We were both on incredible runs and both kept on winning. Couldn't be angry with Southampton as they deserved promotion. Old Trafford was a killer. Those 7 minutes when they got 3 goals (the first was offside and the second deflected) were horrific.
