A few years a go! a tanker was heading down the M62 towards J25 east bound when someone jumped off the bridge at Rastrick and went straight through the drivers windscreen. Somehow the driver managed to steer the truck on to the hard shoulder and the Police said that somehow he managed to avoid absolute carnage.
Until any of us have been in that situation!! we dont know what goes through a persons mind.
