The official site says: "Scoreline harsh on Town in Yorkshire derby" << This should read "Town not bloody good enough!"

"No way are we going down" i would'nt bet on that!. For me, Clarcke, Schofield, are just not good enough, but we also need to change our back room staff. Has far as i am concerned, the only glory this season will be us reaching the 3rd of the FA cup.

Oh and wheres the proof otherwise? We're doing nothing this season. aye but there is a clear difference between doing nothing and getting relagated, besides we have a fa cup 3rd round tie to look forward to... I always new this season we wouldnt do owt, it was fanciful to think that Richie would pick the squad of average players up and turn them into world beaters. BUT IMO there is enough going on to see that Richie is trying to build a new team and we are certainly playing a more pleasing style of football. As i said January and possibly next summer is key. If Richie is allowed to bring in the right players then i fully expect a promotion challenge to materialise.

We have played good enough football on occasions to convince me that we are without a doubt staying up. We're very inconsistent but we get the wins, and enough wins to stay above the relegation fighters ... We have got the quality, it's just very on and off and I feel we'll probably end up somewhere in the "mid-table" range. We're staying up ... mark my words ...

Well we definitly need to see an improvement... get rid of some players, get some backing from Ken, get things moving! We need to pick up points home and away.
Fair enough we can push for it next season with the squad Ritchie is building but we need to avoid the drop first and foremost.

Ritchie's comments ...
Heard on Radio L***s that he was very 'down' but also when asked by Oggy, "What did you think of the ref?", he replied ...
"Let me just say this ... there was no ref on the pitch in the first half," and Eddie Gray and the other L***s muppet agreed with him.
This backs up the opinion that Kishishev should have walked. Faced by a huge home crowd, the ref bottled it .

Are you having a laugh? Shipping 8 goals in 2 games isn't good enough! We'll be lucky to avoid relegation... some people need to start being realistic! Ok you want realistic? I'll give you bloody realistic! 1 Dodgy ref decision sends our keeper off plus idiot sinclair commits hari-ki and also gets sent off 2 stupid football league upholds dodgy sending off and keeper gets one match ban 3 Dodgy ref favours leeds throughout the match and refuses to send a man off when he clearly should have walked 4 Earlier dodgy ref decision and ludicrous football league decision results in us playing a 17 year old kid in the biggest game of the season! Theres realism for you. Contemplate, Inwardly digest and understand

I agree Jim, that Richie is trying to build a decent side. But who is making these barmy subsitute decisions? to take Boothy and Jevons off was crazy, and both Kieran O Reagan, and Eddie Gray both said so. At Southend, Terry Dolan mentioned how poor he thought Clarke was! and today yet again Clarke appeals for off side that is not given, and there strikers stole a couple of yards on him.

comes in wearing tin hat, just got back from galfarm, o dear the weather was dreadful & cold. Now the game as i saw it town were the best side in first half, we were allover the shop, think kishi should of gone but thats refs for you, scond half town started well enough but we had better front players, think jevons should have stayed on but richie is the boss?. after that scoreline was only going to get worse with 32,500 fans behind you & town not really looking like scoring, btw town will not go down we have played worse teams this year. anyway you will have easier games to come.

Its all very well blaming all of this on the keeper but there are 10 men between him and the opposition team from the start - a keeper that went to the Youth World Cup and played in massive stadiums in front of large crowds... no excuse there.
11 vs. 11 at the end of the day and we need to do better.

Did you read my post?
Am I blaming it all on the keeper?
Do I not mention referees and sinclair?
Oh, and you hit the nail on the head with the word "YOUTH"

God it was cold at the Galph. Agreed the ref bottled it - scandalous. Robbie Williams looked very promising but nothing much more positive, apart from restricting them to 1 goal for a fair while. If some of those chances we had had gone in.....................
Just heard from Janeo, safely back in a pub from being right at the front of one of the home stands. Paid £31 for a ticket & could hardly see.

Fair enough, you didn't blame it all on the keeper - didn't mean to say that... just tidying up that the blame can't be placed there.
And yes... it is a World Cup for younger players so YOUTH, as you so rightly point out, is correct.

If you want realism try this,
A chairman who has no interest in the game A manager who appears clueless at times Some very poor quality players in the squad A coaching staff that really don't have a clue A great set of fans who deserve better
Should think that just about sums up the present Huddersfield Town
To be fair I think Ritchie is doing his best to build up a decent squad but with no money he is finding it difficult. He also wanted to bring in his own coaching staff but was not allowed to.
Don't think we will be relegated but it is not a certainty.

We're going down boys.
That second half performance wasn't fit for professional football. The clock is ticking Andy Ritchie, you've made us a total embarassment.

I just don't understand the inconsistency. Personally, I think we have a good team on paper and we showed that in the first half. But our inability to take chances inevitably leads to increased pressure on the defence we see it week in week out and today was no different

Don't be daft we are not going down. Many players did well in the first half and the lads I was chatting to at half time thought we may get something out of it.
Yes the clock maybe ticking for AR but we do have some decent players.

Defensively we were all over the place and have been every time ive seen us away this season. Time to move on from clarke and mirfin. Simply not upto it. Was embarrassing to be a town fan today. And some people on home fm thought we played well!

Confidence is what we are lacking. If we'd have been level at half time it would have been different. We havnt had the easiest of fixtures recently and on the whole havn't done too bad. We wont go down but we wont go up either. Ritchie needs time but the reason why the managers dont last long anymore are because the FANS demand 5-0 victories every game. Im happy with the people Ritchies brought in, yet people will soon be calling for his head no doubt, even though the poor players are here from the previous regime.
Although, I think whatever ritchies been saying at half time this season has been very poor, weve been crap in soooo many 2nd halfs this year. (Not counting Accy).

"weve been crap in soooo many 2nd halfs this year. (Not counting Accy). "
Thought we came out for the 2nd half with a lot more fight and determination against Grimsby.
I think it's a confidence thing. All those chances we had and we didn't score, and Leeds should have gone in at half time a man down, and we go in a goal down and leeds are still at full strength. They must have been pretty pissed off.....I know I would have been.

when we play away you get the feeling that if the goalie took a nap we would never score.... is it a confidence thing? or just a lack of quality?
