Not usually one for threads like this, but he has played his last game for Sheff Utd tonight and definitely one to keep an eye out for, although im amazed he can't get in the Blackpool side. Maybe his form at Sheff Utd will see him back in the team.

Some cracking pens tonight!
In addition, that's 3 times I've seen Bradford this season (tv vs Leeds and tonight, and vs us), and I must admit, all "its funny because its Bradford" aside, I'm confused about how much of a struggle they're making of League 2...they actually look a pretty decent team to me...should easily be in top 8 of league 2 and would prob be a safe middle of the table team in league 1.
So can someone explain to me in a short paragraph why exactly they are so rubbish in the league?

probably upping their game for local derbies?? Tbh I didn't think they looked much cop at the Galpharm. We gifted them two goals and they didn't create much more...we still should have buried them with our 2nd string....they aren't playing first string league one XI's in the JPT either...worth remembering

The only explanation I can muster is that they have raised their game when playing us, the wendies and the blades. I haven't seen any footage of them playing in League 2 but from the JPT games I have seen I agree with you that they should be doing a lot better. I am still puzzled as to why they are so crap. They must have a decent budget for that league and should be able to attract a few decent league 2 players.

Having seen Bradford three times on T.V and live against us, I also struggle to see why they are performing so badly in League Two.
They defended with their lives against us, rode their luck on a number of occassions, but actually knocked the ball around well and created some good chances. They were unlucky against Leeds, outplayed Sheffield Wednesday and deserved to win tonight.
Okay, Sheffield Wednesday showed a huge lack of respect for the competition and it's hard to tell how much Leeds, ourselves and Sheffield United actually cared about our cup games against them. But if I was a Bradford fan I'd be asking why they can grind out these results and performances against the bigger sides and not in the League.

Sadford fan at work really fancied their chances again tonight because the "fringe players" that he plays in the JPT are supposedly better than Parkinson's favouites.
Trouble in paradise (again).....

yes, Matty looked good... will it be a blow to Sheff U's recent reasonable run now he's gone?

Philips could play for ANY team in this league and will be a big loss for the blunts who IMO have some decent young players but not a strong enough squad to be realistic title contenders.

Don't think Holloway will extend or re-lone them out again, they needed to get fit, United have done that now it's time for them to go back, United have gained by it but you just watch them free fall and fizzle off form now on, them two players alone have carried the whole team into 4th.

To be honest, the way I see it, you're more likely to fizzle out. I can see them being up there come May but I genuinely think you'll be the ones who slide down the table again. I can't see that you're so much better this year than last with the squad you have and that clown in charge?

Why are Wednesday called pigs?! Because that cartoony owl thing on the side of Hillsborough looks like a massive pigs snout. (Blades are also known as pigs as their kit looks like streaky bacon)

(Blades are also known as pigs as their kit looks like streaky bacon) It was Uniteds name, they started to call it back :iconlol: We sang 'hark now hear' refering to Boxing day 1979, guess what they sang it back. Wednesday was originally known as the blades and played round the corner from B Lane, - United was originally only founded to create competition for Wednesday, (on Wednesdays as this was THE WEDNESDAY cricket clubs day off). Our name changed in 1929 (i think) from THE to Sheffield. Now you know....

Once Madine stops scoring goals I think you'll struggle. United have a couple of decent strikers for this level and their first team, in my opinion, is one of the best in the league. With a little luck with injuries they will be up there. Out of interest why do you think you're a lot better equipped this season than last? Seem to lose too many silly games (a lot like us pre January) against teams you should be beating. How you managed to go to Stevenage and lose 5-1 is beyond me.

I think Sheffield Wednesday could be a legitimate threat if they strengthened in January. They have some good players in their squad but they do not have decent squad depth.
The only team that worries me is Charlton and as long as it stays at one team I'll be happy.

The Sheff Utd game is the best we've played for ages, some reasons...
Played a better team and not his favourites. Less pressure. Bigger motivation to win.
Sad but true.
