This lot are so worried about us.
Quote from Megson in the sheffield star about keeping players.
....We’re trying to hang on to the coat tails of the two big spenders in our division, Charlton and Huddersfield,” he said.

From reading the article and the views of Wednesday fans their season the success of the season revolves around keeping Ben Marshall (winger on loan from Stoke) for the rest of the season. I think he's on loan until January.
Town you know what to do, we could do with a quality right winger!

Maybe if they hadn't have been so frivolous with their spending on the likes of Sibon, Jonk, De Bilde and co they wouldn't be clinging on to the coat tails of 'big spending' Huddersfield and Charlton ?

Spot on mate, totally concur, since the 1999/00 season (last season in Premiership) we have had nothing apart from a Play-off final win in L1 but even back in the Championship we had a bad chairman in Dave Allen and still a poor side. Then along came Milan, wiped out the 30m debt and started to turn things around financially the only problem and set back we had last year was Alan Irvine, Megson came and things have got better, Megson might have his critics but he knows his stuff.

How did Milan wipe out 30 million worth of debt. I know it won't be with his own money.

We Owed the co-op bank a bulk of it, (who incidentally ere great throughout) Milan agreed a deal with them that if they wanted the debt paid in full they should shave some money off the debt, they agreed to shave 50% of it which for a company was outstanding, I suppose some money is better then none was their logic. Some previous board members needed paying off too, Dave Allen (ex chairman) who we owed something like 1m etc, so all in all Milan came and sorted the mess out, I was sceptical before he came but he's show he's a decent bloke. He might not be in it for the long haul but at least people can buy us again without any snags.

Wonder if it'll work... :udders:

Not really, the way things were going we were heading for Administration, CO-OP would have got F all, so at least they got half, tbf fair play to them because some would of bit their nose of to spite their face.

So you do go to the shops with the missus then on Saturday - you soft lad Being as you're on here all the time and obviously a closet Town fan i would have thought you would have known that we aren't playing on Saturday. The best 2 sides in the division are playing on Monday night. Maybe you should tweak your name to malechauvenistpig - i'm a new man mate, i do the shopping in our house.

Its totally like that........... "Erm Mr Banker, please write off part of our debts cos if you dont we will go through the legal admin process and you will end up with nothing"............even as a secured creditor the Co-Op must have felt that the assets of the club werent up to much if they wrote off 50% of their debt!!
