Now then walkley! How are you pal?! Loved it watching Leigh back in the day at s6. Obviously he blotted his copybook since then going to s2 and then leeds! looking forward to seeing a few old friends saturday round the club. Still keep in touch with del geary and Paul mclaren.

There's plenty of decent places to drinks in town, then you can just either catch the yellow line MIDDLEWOOD tram (make sure it says Middlewood and not Meadowhall or you'll be going the wrong bloody way lol.)
Or in a taxi will cost £6 - £8 tops I'd imagine. But also some decent boozers in Hillsboro, but they are a bit spread out if you don't know your way around.
But all importantly there are plenty of places to drink, just sadly not in the ground. No idea why....

Hey up fella, I'm good thanks. It was always good having your input on the board back in the day but as you said Leigh blotted his copybook, my fave memory of him now is when he's sat looking at Tudgay who'd just volleyed home our second in the derby.

I still have a good look at the board mate. Disappointing to see the travs has bitten the dust. The gate did too didn't it!? Think I'll be swilling in that one further up hill on just where bridge is but you turn left up the road and it's on the right. Leigh ain't even getting a gig on the bench at Leeds. He'll be out on loan somewhere in jan!

Well Sainsburys have the local council tied hence the loss of a couple of reasonable watering holes..
Aye should be ok in there mate, think Big Andy still works the door as well.

My suggestion would be to drink in town, and then catch the tram to S6 (Yellow tram is the one you want)
There's more of a variety of pubs, and its closer to the station

What's Forum and the rest of West Street(?) like these days?
Used to go there quite a bit, probably 6 or 7 years ago now though
Eccleshall Road was decent, quite a few decent pubs up there, closer to your neighbours that way, I guess.

The Forum is great now... depending on what you're like: its full of air hockey, snooker, darts, pool etc. West Street isn't for me, but its all down to personal preference

Is it? Used to be a bar/club when I went
Yeah this was a while ago, when my ex was at University there, should imagine it is still that age group up West Street
Might be worth a visit, in that instance. :udders: :iconlol:

Oh yeah, Forum's changed loads (for the better IMO) West St is the younger one's, like myself, but I avoid it cos its normally crawling with w@nkers (and Sheff Utd fans, but they're the same thing)

Maybe I wasn't that clear as I meant more Hillsboro corner pubs, but drink where you want for me, and yeah forum and other pubs on division st are good too in the town, then a tram ride back to Leppins ln, nice and easy.

I too would recommend drinking in town then getting the tram through to S6 and West St/Division St is a reasonable shout, but if there's one thing Sheffield has got in abundance it's pubs. If the regular Walkabout/Lloyds/Varsity types don't float yer boat, there are loads of little pubs just off West St worth a visit such as The Red Deer, Bath Hotel, Dev Cat, The Grapes, Dada etc all easily walkable from tram stops. Decent beer, decent snap.

Sadly no, the club unsurprisingly have difficulty in obtaining a license for that end of the stadium, despite numerous efforts

You're not missing anything - the beer in the rest of the ground is shite and expensive
