In the early hours of yesterday morning a cable theft on the main electrical supply to my house and several others caused a huge voltage spike leading to the destruction of (amongst other things) my Sky digibox and Sagem wireless router.
Sky are coming out to reconnect my TV to a new HD+ box next week, so no problems there.
My question relates to broadband. I need to buy a new router and am looking for advice on which one is the best to buy, in terms of connecting to the internet and also any related issues with HD+ (if this is in any way connected/routed via my broadband router).
Any advice would be gratefully received as I am a clueless bell end when it comes to computers etc and Sky are proving to be less than easy to get information from :shake:

Sorted now, cheers - Sky got back to me (eventually) and they're sending out a new router free of charge, which is pretty good of them.
The moral of this story is to turn everything electrical off at the plug, don't leave it on standby otherwise it could get fried in the event of power surge caused by some gits committing cable theft.
