Hi
Just wondered if anyone can give me some advice.
I’m thinking of getting a macbook air, but I don’t know whether or not I’d still be able to access Town Player/BBC Iplayer/other flash sites. Don’t want to miss out on any HTAFC stuff!
Is anyone using a mac to successfully access these types of site, and if so, how have you got around the ‘flash’ issues?
Thanks for your help

You can use flash on MacBooks pal it's iPhones and iPads you can't
MacBook air doesn't have much storage space though not much more than a decent iPod about 80gb usually

I use a Macbook air but unless you do a lot of travelling there is no point in getting one over a Macbook pro. The aluminium case is awesome but the I don't like the new versions though, they feel cheaper. This one is over 2 years old and has taken a battering but still works as well as the day it was taken out of the box.
They seem to have made the laptop cheaper now though so I wouldn't know. It was more expensive than the macbook pro when I got this one.
And remember the DVD drive is not built in, you have a beast of an external one instead.

Brisbanes right I'd have a pro over an air
As cool as the air is, got one at work but at home got a MacBook pro best laptop I've ever had if you can afford the stupid price

Lot of dosh to fork out for a bit of security, especially when most software is written in windows format.
Advice for a novice, which is what it sounds like you are, buy a normally aspirated laptop with Windows7 OS and buy a decent Antivirus program, install the usual suspects for free, such as Adaware, Spybot and Malaware Bytes. You can even download plenty of Antivirus programs for free.
Save your dosh and get a Windows 7 laptop. AppMacs aren't value for money for 98% of laptop users
