Anyone know a good tried & tested place ..... Tried to reinstall Vista but has frozen at about 75% ..... CD drive knacked ... just wont work anymore.

Have you tried installing another operating system such as XP? You can get free Linux ones from the net as well. Are you formatting your drive first and foremost? Do any errors occur? The Blue screen of Death can be common... If it freezes witht he blue screen tell me what it says and I might be able to see why it's freezing... Does your laptop seem to over heat? From the short snippet it sounds like maybe your Hard drive could have bitten the dust... These are replaceable at reasonable costs and you don't always have to go to a shop to sort  |

try MP Computers next to dewsbury fire station they do the best job i have had many problems with pc over the years and they have fixed them all
