I'm in the market for a new laptop. Apparently I need lots of memory, high RAM spec (probably about 2Gb) and a fast processor.
Any advice? Budget in the region of £500.
Thanks

Thanks The kind of laptop you need will be determined by what you want it to do? Gaming?? Masses of RAM etc etc What do you want it to do?

Incidentally what you want it to do will directly affect cost.
If you want it for Graphic Design for example you need a lot of RAM and a powerful graphics card.
Naturally this will push the price up.

Not gaming, nowt special at all really. Just web browsing and music/film downloading. In which case you want a big Hard Drive and 2GB RAM min. You can pick something up quite cheap. Laptops Direct have been mentioned and i have used them when im not too worried about spec. for customers. Ill drop you a PM later.

Unless you've already got it sorted with bbb, Try dell.co.uk
I've made a laptop up on thier, that matches with the ones on laptopsdirect, and it came out about £40 cheaper.
